The Rockstar Ramblings: Jack Osbourne Updates

Band Photo: Ozzy Osbourne (?)
Ozzy Osbourne continues to keep his family employed. This week it was announced that Jack Osbourne is producing a documentary on Ozzy titled “Wreckage of My Past” where candid interviews will be given by those close to him. Can anyone else wait ten years from now when Jack heads up an Ozzy tribute band?
In other Ozzy news a new Samsung Mobile commercial features Jack as Ozzy’s personal assistant. This is not going to end well for the prince of the prince of darkness….AC/DC’s Munich show last week received noise complaints 20 kilometers away from the concert. In related news, all is quiet on the Guns and Roses tour front….Kiss appearing on the American Idol finale will probably lead to Gene Simmons promoting a new line of Kiss limited American Idol edition action figures to promote. “These are authentic Kiss action figures. They are just like the others, but they are limited edition so you need to act fast”….
TNT’s Sprint Cup Racing is going to feature Buckcherry music before, during, and after their televised races. I like to think the members of Buckcherry went down to the Atlanta TNT offices for a meeting to iron out the details On one side of a conference table sits Josh Todd and band, on the other a lot of ties and grey hair. If so, it probably went something like this:
TNT EXECUTIVES: We are big fans, and more importantly our viewers are big fans. We would love to have your band’s music play during our televised racing events.
BUCKCHERRY: Cool, let’s see we have “Crazy Bitch”, “Whiskey in The Morning”, and “Porno Star”…
TNT EXECUTIVES: Yes, well let’s put those songs in one pile… (Executives huddle for, weighing pros and cons about expenses of bringing in a different band)… Okay, how about covering Deep Purple’s “Highway Star”?
BUCKCHERRY: Do we still get paid the same?
TNT EXECUTIVES: Of course.
BUCKCHERRY: Cool.
For the 20th anniversary of the album “Dr. Feelgood” Motley Crue will be playing the album in its entirety during their Cruefest shows this summer, Judas Priest will be doing the same celebrating 30 years of their album “British Steel”. No word yet on whether Whitesnake will be celebrating 30 years since the release of their album “Love Hunter”….Ted Nugent recently put out a DVD commemorating his 6,000th live show. He goes on to say that for his 7,000th show he hopes to have a camouflage electronic walker built. For everyone’s safety let’s hope Ted’s mind doesn’t go first and have him cross up his rock shows with his hunting reality shows. To be safe I would stay away from the front row seats….The band Europe continues add more shows to their summer tour, keeping my dream alive that someday they may reenact their video to “Rock the Night” on stage, complete with Hard Rock café backdrop and the lead singer using a ketchup bottle as a microphone.

Yes indeed, it is a bit crazy to think of how old some of us are around here... and then there are some that are SO young..?? 15-16..??
C'mon I have some pieces of clothing that are older than that ;-)
Not saying that it isn't cool to see these kids becoming metalheads at such a young age...!!
Looking back on it... I would be more of metal freak today, if I would have such a thing as the
internet when I was 12-16..!!
The only exposure to new bands was MTV, and magazines like Creem, Circus and Hit Parader..lol
wilco - you were at the infamous "Monsters of Rock"..? You lucky bastard ;-)
To me theres something odd about the fact its been 20years since Dr. Feelgood came out. Maybe thats a good thing, maybe its just a good slap of Mötley rockNroll that still sounds fresh. To my ears something like Apetite for destruction sounds really, really old. Still... its weird. been such a long time without true "classic" albums
