Children Of Bodom Comments On Tour Cancellation

Children of Bodom front man Alexi Laiho has issued the following statement about being forced to cancel their remaining tour appearances:
“After the New York show (on May 9) I knew it was going to be over. During the 3rd song I started feeling like someone was stabbing me in my lungs, my heart and my ribs. That was the kind of pain that neither stubbornness, painkillers, nor alcohol could alleviate. I wanted to try to keep going but after seeing a second doctor in Philadelphia, I was basically told that I could fuck myself up for life if I don’t stop playing. Against all recommendation, I have played and sang for the last 10 days in violent pain which has only made my condition worsen. So, I decided to listen to everyone around me, who were telling me the best thing to do would be to go home and get some proper rest and give my shoulder some time to heal.
"This was a hard decision for me and I feel bad about it. But it is the right thing to do if I want to keep making music. I apologize to our great fans for not being there for the remaining shows and I want to thank all the guys from the other bands; Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, God Forbid and Municipal Waste for backing me up on this. Most of all I want to thank our fans for still being there, showing support, and continuing to rock out with me! I promise I will be back and I hope you all will too! Horns up!”

I almost went to that show last night, but some fvcktard was "Yeah [insert my friend's name here] can smoke me out and hotbox my car before we go to the show in Baltimore." But what does he do? He says all this and realizes he can't pay admission, or the weed my friend's got (about an O of chronic), so we didn't go. Said friend is crashing at my place and now I'm trying to f*** my girlfriend before she goes to France tomorrow (I'm gonna be blue-balled for a month). I haven't slept since I'm gonna see her roughly 2 hours after this very post. And I am gonna make this a REALLY GOOD f***ING MORNING with my wifey! Beat that a$$ harder than Chris Brown beat Rihanna! lol
Anyway back to the subject: Lamb of God hasn't really been that awesome since "Ashes of the Wake" and I really wouldn't have wanted to sit thru As I Lay Crying. And to top it off, Bodom isn't gonna be there. The only up side of all this would be Municipal Waste, and they aren't exactly my cup of tea. So, no great loss.
Terrorizing The Terror: EVRYTHING hurts when you have a broken shoulder. Been there; done that... Fvcking hated it.
Gore: "said friend is crashing at my place"... Said friend would be outside picking his teeth up off the ground if it was me. Good luck with all that brother.
Dear Megalomaniac,
Yeah, Laiho totally pwns Jim Root and Mick Thompson at guitar. Slipknot doesn't even do anything with guitar most of the time...just crappy, boring, generic break-down riffs. They used to be okay at most, but their last two albums are pieces of sh** not worth anything. Corey Taylor is leaving the band to do a solo album soon, even he doesn't give a rat's a$$ about his own band. I used to really like them too, but then discovered underground metal...which is 10000000x times better than Slipknot.
I was at the May 9th show. Alexi was obviously in terrible pain from the moment he came out. Even his speaking voice sounded weak. In the middle of the third song he stopped playing and singing. Hearing Silent Night, Bodom Night without lead guitar and vocals was interesting...
After staying on stage and rounding out the song Alexi tossed his guitar in anger and walked off and his bandmates basically ran off the stage to see if he was ok.
Keep rocking Alexi! I was dissapointed that I didn't get to hear much from you this time around but you better get healed up for next time. I'm already waiting.
It's a shame, Hope Alexi gets better soon. Theres just that ONE thing that annoys me about the whole deal, which is, Alexi's known to do very stupid stuff when hes drunk, and I just dont buy "fell from the bunkbed" thing. But thats just me, and Im probably wrong as usual and moaning here for nothing. In any case, I hope he recovers soon and COB is back at it again!
I'm just glad to I got to see them before they exited the tour. He played well considering the circumstances. It takes a hard mother f***er to do what he did. Hope he recovers soon, and Bodom is back to tear it up on the road.
