Norwegian black metal band Koldbrann has issued the following statement about parting ways with their drummer and guitarist:
"KOLDBRANN has chosen to end the collaboration with it's drummer through 7 years, Fordervelse, due to internal disagreements. Fordervelse has played drums on all of KOLDBRANN's releases and concerts to this date, and had a significant impact on the development of the band.
"Shortly after this occured, G. Antonsen stated that he wants to step down from his position as 2nd guitarist of the band, as he no longer feels that he has the necessary capasity to continue with active touring. Antonsen has given his all for KOLDBRANN since 2004, both on stage and recordings.
"The remaining KOLDBRANN are grateful for all the work the two of you have put into the band through the years, and we wish you the very best for the future!
"These changes pose some challenges for KOLDBRANN; however, the creative forces in the band are still intact, and there are no plans to retire whatsoever. We are currently working hard on finding suitable replacements, and we've already found some very promising candidates. We will return with an update as soon as the last pieces of the puzzle are in place!

Fordervelse also issued the following statement:
"Since I already heard in a bar on a trip to Bergen last month that my situation with Koldbrann had leaked out, I might as well go public with the fact that I am no longer a part of Koldbrann. To avoid any rumors, I was fired, plain and simple. For reasons beyond me.
"I wanna take the opportunity to thank you all so far for all the emails and support. I had never expected such a response in just two days. It personally means alot for me to hear that my work with Koldbrann have been so much appreciated around the world. Its also nice to hear that so many people, many whom I have never met or talked to before, got into Koldbrann simply because of my drumming.
"I will spend the rest of this spring and summer finnishing my library building and the demo studio in the cellar of my barn and do my obligations with the bands I will do session work for. I will also record a full lenght album this spring and do concerts with Satanic Black Metal band Arvas from Bergen, but apart from that, only the future will tell.
"The musical future for me is yet undecided. Mainly because finding a new band where I will fit musically and with people who will accept and work with me as the person I am and that shares my visions about what Black Metal and the ideology behind it, is all about, will not be easy Stay true to yourself, your family, your heritage and finally, Black Metal as it is supposed to be!
"As a final message to the rest of the band: After 8 years of hard work and great co-operation marked by unsurpassed admiration for your skills as musicians, text and songwriters, I have been compelled to yield, despite my valor and devotion, to your decisions about me as a person and musician. I will carry with me the rememberance of my years with Koldbrann for the rest of my life and I hereby bid you all an affectionate Farewell...
