California metallers Flatline have issued the following statement about recording a cover of "Hammer Smashed Face" by Cannibal Corpse:

"New cover song up! HAMMER SMASHED FACE!Written by Cannibal Corpse (Barnes, Mazurkiewicz, Owen, Rusay & Webster)

"Performed by FLATLINE (Johnson, Weitzel, Guerra, Gonzalez & Hassemer)

"Recorded at NRG Studios, North Hollywood CA, 2009 Recorded & Mixed by Josh Newell Mastered by Preston Boebel

"This is one of Cannibal Corpse’s most well known and beloved song out of all of their songs. This song was originally recorded in 1992 and is on the full-length album 'The Tomb of the Mutilated.' This song was also in the movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective. We basically started messing around with it at rehearsal and thought it would be fun to record with our buddy Josh. You can only here it here on MySpace so here it is...blaaaahhh!"
