Yakuza To Release New Album In October
Profound Lore Records issue the following statement regarding YAKUZA's newest album:
"It hasn’t been a total secret but we’ll make it official: acclaimed avant-garde progressive experimental metal band YAKUZA will release their next full-length album via Profound Lore Records. To be released sometime this October, the band plan on entering the studio with Sanford Parker this July to lay down the follow up to the awesome “Transmutations” release, which will be approached in a unique kind of way. As mastermind Bruce Lamont explains: “The songs we are working have some breathing room so to speak. I don’t think we will nail down exactly where things will go or how long a said part will be played until we record. With that in mind, I think the course of action will be to record live in the studio with a minimal amount of overdubs to keep the spontaneity things.”
More Yakuza updates will surface surrounding this unique album in the near future. In the meantime, Yakuza are slated to play this year’s Maryland Deathfest and Bruce Lamont will be heading to Europe next month with MINSK to play alongside them."
