Rob Halford of Judas Priest Reveals Scarring Secret

Ever since Judas Priest hit the scene in the 70’s, metalheads world-wide have been put in a trance by Rob Halford’s impressive vocal abilities, mainly his ability to sing notes that, to other male vocalists, would seem emasculating. Though Rob has revealed some time not too long ago that he was a gay man, which is something that the metal scene of his time would not accept, he has another secret that he’s kept from us all: Robert John Arthur Halford was born on August 25th, 1951, as a woman.

"It was no surprise to anyone, really. I did what I did because back then, us women wouldn’t be accepted into the man’s world of rock. Sure there’d be Lita Ford or Lee Aaron making it big, but that was the 80’s, and they were whores. I figured I could pass as a man since my build is quite tall and big for a lady.

Rob started talking about how cute he thought Ozzy was back in the day, then went back to the subject at hand.

"It's the reason why I’ve always been able to sing high with ease. To fit the role of a male more, I started taking some hormones. It didn’t really do much to my breasts since I was an A cup anyway. No problem there."
