All old albums remastered with a healthy number of rare and unreleased cuts could make a potential buyer of me. A "complete" Pantera collection would be great for fans, new comers, obsessed collectors...
Nice way for fans to get some closure.
Now Playing: Converge - "First Light"
^ didnt they used to be kind of a "Glam" band before Cowboys from hell? As for the box set, if theres unreleased stuff, I'm all for it! If not, well there's already a live album, a collection (two, in fact, no?) and that DVD with all their 3 video releases packaged together, so in that case, no thanks
"Badge" from The Crow, "Immortally Insane" from Heavy Metal, "Avoid the Light" from Dracula 2000, and "Cat Scratch Fever" from Detroit Rock City. I'm figuring this is what Rex means by "more than just the old albums". They also covered "Electric Funeral" on Nativity in Black and "Hole in the Sky" for a greatest hits compilation. Both are Sabbath songs.
^I have the power metal album, listening to Burn right now in fact, and there is no way in hell that's Phil anselmo singing.
Phil got in the band after that album. Told everybody to get a new image, and then used vocals he took from exorder's style. hence, the Pantera everybody knows and loves today. the old albums are still good though. Dimebag shreds just as much as on the other "more popular" Pantera albums, they just arent as heavy.
Phil jumped on board with Cowboys From Hell. I've listened to bits of those albums but they make me cringe alittle...True to form though, Dime sounds brilliant, the band photos are...unfortunate.
I'd be fine with the box set...forgetting that era.
but kinda funny.
Now Playing: Type O Negative - "September Son"

just got chills thinking about how great this could be and how bad it could turn the remaining members further against one another.
we can always hope this could even patch the rift between them...............
