Mortum Postpones Release of Debut Album, "Awakening of the Primordial Spirit"

NJ black metal band, Mortum, has announced that they will be delaying the release of their debut album, "Awakening of the Primordial Spirit." The band issues the following statement regarding the reasons behind the delay:

"We have decided that we are going to postpone our debut full length 'Awakening of the Primordial Spirit' for several reasons."

"First, Mystic Yautja was not so pleased the way his drum tracks came out on the recording itself and would like to re-do them all over again."

"And second, there are some songs on the recordings that didn't turn out how we would of liked them to sound. There were some mistakes on the recordings and it is one of those things that you can't listen to the song itself sometime without feeling guilty for some reason."

"We only recorded for two days so in a way so we rushed a bit. There are still 3 other songs that we recorded that aren't currently on the page. What we are going to do is use the 3 tracks that aren't on the page for a possible feature release or bonus tracks to the actual 'Awakening of the Primordial Spirit' album."

"The 5 songs on the page will be re-recorded eventually along with 3-5 other new ones that we are currently writing. This will take some time but it will be worth it in the long run production and musicanship wise. We are thinking of self-releasing a possible single or EP in the future but for now we are focusing on some new material for the re-recording. Think of the songs on the page currently as demo tracks."
