Metallica has issued the following update about launching a new Guitar Hero website:

"We're gearing up for the release of the 'Tallica Guitar Hero game and have been working with our friends over at Activision to bring you some cool previews of the game, stuff for your computer, info we hope you'll find helpful if you're looking for the game and instruments, track listings and more!

"Wander over to our Guitar Hero section located here to download wallpapers, buddy icons and banners, check out photos, news, and videos, and see if the instruments you already have will work with the new game (most do!). For even more on the upcoming game, visit the brand new Guitar Hero: Metallica site here.

"And keep watching . . . we'll be adding lots more stuff!"

This is so cool. I just wish that "The Call Of Ktulu" and "To Live Is To Die" was on there. I'm all for the solos. It's great they got mad s**t from the first 4 albums though. The other songs from bands they picked are cool 2 (Slayer, Alice In Chains, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy etc). So 2 sum it all up, i'm getting this s**t.

Guitar hero is cool because you can play against people that don't play an instrument. However it's really stupid because people take it too seriously and it costs about as much as a real instrument to get the World Tour pack.
