I am not making any kind of judgment here!
What happened to the last tour in the US, was it cut short or something, or was it because of some backlash not having released the album yet?

COF was bad a$$ in LA a few weeks ago...as for GNR does anyone know whos in this band besides rose? Is buckethead still in the group?...but most of europe and asia will support and buy it,....sometimes i think as americans we are too tuff on bands cause we crap on them and they go to other places in the world and are well supported, but axel does not deserve any love here....swallow your pride, squash it with duff and slash and stop being such a pric......

To post #11: Just because Guns N' Roses have been performing without any of the original members doesn't mean there's any reason the band is dead. Motörhead had a lot of lineup changes until Lemmy decided to keep its current lineup in 1995, but that doesn't mean the band was ever dead. Sure, fans may have been disappointed in the GN'R with only Axl, but I'm sure there are some that like it as well. GN'R without any original member is GN'R, it's only a new incarnation.

True enough. I saw them at Wembley in 2006 and it was one of the best performances I've ever seen and I've seen scores.

well true point there
there was ones a band long time ago in a land cald g&R and there king wanted everything
so he did buy the name of the band so he had all the saying in writing and music
so his followers they did not like that and the left the band so the king got mad and told every body how great he is and how sh**ty he sings but the band never quit a
bund that was good for the king
so he did write a shiity album with some new musicians aka fools
my point is axel owns the name but he should not use it for his old sake its not g&r anymore
and yea there was a time in a land far far away that the king and his band were good
the firts two albums
and they kicked a$$ on donington openair

Saw the GnR show 2 years ago in Minnesota. One of the best shows I've seen. Axl was awesome. I had low expectations for show and was knocked off my rocker. In terms of numbers, it was close to sold out. To the best of my knowledge, the tour went well in the US and finished up in Australia.

Axl is a strange bird. He can't do anything in a straight forward manner. Most people promote an album with a tour and videos. He's dragged his feet on both. The tour to promote the album actually took place in '06 and then they delayed releasing it until last November. He'll probably be touring in the US next fall a year after the release of the album. Although this is fine by me, I'm guessing Best Buy would really like him to get his butt moving on promoting his product in US.

As far as the Album, I think Chinese Democracy is pretty damn good. Compared to a lot of newer poser bands out there (Hinder, Nickleback, etc), it's outstanding.
As far as touring in Europe first, Chinese Democracy has actually sold very well internationally. The last I heard it close to the 3 million. I guess you go where your fans are.

This is one of the best line ups, none of the bands are posers and none of them suck. If they did suck, none of those bands who "suck" wouldn't be on such a good line up. I think its good they didn't come to the U.S. All the U.S. does is crap on bands saying they suck by one album they listen to. In my opinion, you don't deserve to see this awesome line up. If you did get to see it, all you would do is quote the things you don't like and say everyone sucks but one band. You really shouldn't be picky when it comes to music, everyone deserves a chance to be heard, just because a band has put out one bad album or has made one move, you guys think they are a piece of sh**. I would like to see you people do what they do for a change and be 100% and make everyone like it.
