CKY Finishing Up New Album, "Carver City"

CKY has entered the mixing stage of their forthcoming new studio album, "Carver City." The album will be released via Roadrunner Records on May 19th and was produced by the bands guitarist Chad I Ginsburg. Lead singer Derron Miller states: "Literally all the things that have been keeping CKY strong since our last album - the undying hardcore support of our fans, our unorthodox musical approach and a brand new partnership with Roadrunner Records - have restored an enthusiasm within our band that has never been this extreme. Sobriety, hard work, patching up inner turmoil and a love for what we do has undoubtedly made this the most collaborative and focused CKY effort to date."

Yes - this band is incredible..I remember being blown away when I heard one of their songs for first time. A great band! I am glad that they resolved their problems.

The gods have smiled upon us.

This is the best news I've heard this year, and given Deron's remarks about the album, I can't effing wait. Finally, something to look foward to in 2009.

After seeing their set get cut short in St. Petersburg in '07, I've been itching to see them on stage again, so I'm eagerly awaiting a list of venues for the '09 tour.
