Disturbed has announced the details for the 4th Music As A Weapon tour. There will be four bands performing on the mainstage: joining headliners Disturbed will be Killswitch Engage, Chimaira and Lacuna Coil. In addition to the mainstage acts, there will be a tattoo and music festival as well. Some of the world's best tattoo artists will be traveling with the tour, including Oliver Peck and Hart & Huntington. They will be joined by some of the top local tattoo artists in each market. Everyone attending the show will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment in advance with the tattoo artist of their choice and get some new ink at the shows. Tattooing will happen as local ordinances allow. There will also be an extreme sports exhibition including Freestyle and Half Pipe from top action sports stars, a second stage with additional bands performing, a vendor village and much more.

Full details, tour dates and on-sale dates will be coming soon. All information and future announcements regarding the tour can be found at the official MAAW web site, www.musicasaweapon4com. The website will go live on January 27th.

Disturbed- I guess I'll go for that, they were decent at mayhem, and a lot of chicks like them, so I get lots of eye(and hand) candy

Killswitch- Max cavalera said they were the gayest thing he has ever seen. End of story.

Chimaira- I would totally like to see them live. One of the few metalcore bands worth anyhting.

Lacuna Coil- what a waste of a band... fail

I want to go to half this concert, but I want to never give money to the other half. Dillema.

Um, Chimaira is not metalcore. I thought their early stuff had a few traces, but not really in their last 3 albums. I actually enjoyed Lacuna Coil live, although I was never impressed enough with their material to pick up and album.

Killswitch - not too bad of a live show, but dont rate their nwe music
Lacuna Coil - cant rate them as i havnt seen them

i dunno what I'd call them really. I lump them in with the New Wave of American Heavy metal (NWOAHM) bands, but unfortunately some of them have some core to them too, so the lines are blurry. They're just metal to me.

ya I guess NWAOHM does it good for me. I'm syill gonna call them metalcore though, because I dont want bleeding through and Himsa to get lonely being the only halfway decent bands in the genre lol

No but seriously, the (NW...) title bugs me only in the fact that I have no idea who to put in that catagory except Lamb of God and myabe Machine Head. Ive never heard of another band being mentioned in reference to that name. As opposed to the Wave of British Heavy Metal, where you could find hundreds of bands with differing styles, ranging from Iron Maiden to Motorhead to venom, I've only heard of two, and I guess now Chimaira as well (I didnt want to say the word "too" after I just said it's direct homonym lol).

I have no idea what the hell I'm ranting about. I'll just look it up on google. lol

Not a bad line-up. I'd like to see Lacuna coil & Chimaira live. I haven't seen KsE since they first started touring with Howard, they were good. still touring Alive or Just..
Haven't seen Disturbed since they were touring the second album and that was at Ozzfest.

I went to the Tattoo the Earth tour which was great....Slayer, Sevendust, Sepultura, Nothingface and others, but there wasn't any tattooing allowed at the Chicago show which was really in a south suburb. paul booth was there though.

Disturned- Used to suck balls but have actually progressed into a slightly above average band. 10,000 Fists was a good record.

Killswicth- Emo. They even admit it (Metal Hammer August 2006- Bruce d***inson on the cover). Seeing the guitarist prance around in his little gay cape is completely the opposite of metal. Check out the Aquabats. They cornered the homo-erotic cape scene years ago.

Chimaira- Generic metalcore at it's worst. Bands like this should only be viewed on the Ozzfest second stage at two in the afternoon in 100 degreee heat, if you are into that kind of thing.

Lacuna Coil- Nothing overly sh**ty about them. In fact, in my opinion, best band on the bill.

You should check out Blood Has Been Shed - that really shows Howard's strong side - regarding his vocals. He was young back then, but hell he can really sing. He sings amazingly well. Blood Has Been Shed is definitely not emo, no fukkin' way. KSE has went downhill, I admit it, but they still put on a pretty fun show. I know about vocals, too,(4-5 years of choir) and it ain't easy to project your voice over the guitar and drums.

Ok, I'll admit, KSE are not emo, that phrase gets thrown around too much these days. However, I will reiterate: they are the gayest thing Max Cavalera has ever seen. thusly, it follows to assume that they are fa**ot humping dildo-spinners. The logic is irrefuteable.

Lacuna coil is just lame. i get that she's a chick and "hot" but that doesn't make the music any better. this tour is going to be stupidly overpriced...for what? Perhaps, it was the Taste of Chaos tour..but anway. Don't get me wrong, I happen to like KSE, I met them once, and have most of their albums..I just question their booking agent.

Disturbed puts on a decent show, and while I can't say I like them too much, they do know how to put on a show for their fans.

I've seen Killswitch Engage with Hatebreed, and that was one of the worst shows I've ever been to. Bury Your Dead put on a better show than both of them. Then again, I saw Killswitch Engage about a year ago, and they put on an awesome show, so I really don't know where I stand with that. I guess if you do see them, you'd better be hoping they are in the playing mood.

Chimaira, I've never had the pleasure of seeing them, I really wish I could. Their last few albums have been nothing below great, so I would love to see them.

Lacuna Coil, blah. I never could get into them. Not my style really.

All around, not too bad, but not too good either.
