Oomph! Posts New Video For "Sandmann" Online

German band Oomph! has posted a new video online for their song "Sandmann." The video can be viewed below. The band issued the following statement about the video:

"With 'Sandmann,' Oomph! are releasing a new single on ..Feb. 6th, 2009.. that is not included on theircurrent Top Ten studio album 'Monster'.

Most of us think of the ‘Sandmann’ in terms of a happy childhood memory. But this new Oomph! song puts a brand new twist on the familiar old story, from the perspective of anything but a happy childhood! In 'Sandmann,; Oomph! bear their standard in the usual high fashion we’ve come to expect, additionally incorporating a children's lullaby that every child in the band’s native ....Germany.... knows from the crib to the grave. While the first impression in the chorus subtly transports us emotionally back to our earliest days, closer inspection reveals something more sinister just below the surface…...."
