Voivod is awesome, but not the same without Piggy. He was always the band and the band was always him.

Always seemed like he was the heart of Voivod.

I totally agree! His riffs are out-of-this-world. He will be greatly missed. The good news, is, they have his last recorded stuff for this new album.

I agree with the three of you, Chazz, Netromancer and Txmetalhead. Voivod is just not the same without Piggy, and the band was always him. He was responsible for making this band happen, and replacing a dude like him just can't be the right thing, example: if you replaced Dimebag in his bands Pantera or Damageplan, its legacy could be ruined, tarnish, or whatever.

Although Voivod isn't the same without Piggy, I wouldn't mind them getting a replacement for him. Almost the whole original band (except Away) had been gone anyway, Snake left in '94, but came for the 2003 reunion album and Blacky had left in '91 before he reuntied with the band last year.
