Vocalist Luciano George Leaves Ephel Duath

Luciano Lorusso George has left Ephel Duath after serving as their full-time vocalist between 2003 and 2008. He made unique contributions to their classic grind-jazz albums "The Painter's Palette" and "Pain Necessary To Know," and will also appear on their upcoming LP "Through My Dog's Eyes."

Ephel Duath's new vocalist, Guillermo Gonzales, has spent the previous 15 years as lead singer for Italy's extreme metal group Mothercare.

Davide Tiso, the group's founder, released this public statement via Myspace:

Hi everyone,
may be you have already read this news somewhere,
now it's time to make it "official" through ED's page.

Luciano Lorusso George, vocalist for Ephel Duath since 2003's The Painter's Palette, was forced to leave the band for economic and personal reasons.

Lucio is together with me the guy who has always believed most in this band so far. The news about his departure has been shocking, especially for him as he had no choice - and he never thought about his life without the band. I'm so sad he's no longer part of this project, especially after all the work he's put into Through My Dog's Eyes.
Ephel Duath has always tried to surmount any obstacles put in its path and this is probably one of the most difficult we've ever faced, but we will continue because challenges are the roots of this band and it's what makes us stronger.

Ciao Lucio,
you will be missed.
Davide ED
