A number of news outlets are reporting that Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose has been missing for two months.
Music-News.com reports: Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has been missing for two months.
The eccentric rocker has infuriated bosses at record label Geffen after disappearing without promoting the band’s long-awaited "Chinese Democracy" album, which was released last week 15 years after the last Guns N' Roses LP.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "People have been trying to contact Axl for two months and he’s completely AWOL [Absent Without Leave].
"It is frustrating because the album would have had a much better chance of going to number one if he had only been prepared to show his face.
"You would have thought after spending all those years on an album you might do a few weeks of promotion. 'Everyone knows Axl is a bit of a maverick genius and won’t do anything he doesn’t want to.'"
As previously reported, "Chinese Democracy" debuted on the Billboard album charts at number 3. The album apparantly sold 261,000 copies in its first week of release in the United States. So far, Chinese Democracy has only gone to number one in Brazil and Finland.

he was kidnapped by kerry king & when kerry realized that no one would pay the ransom, kerry killed him, decapitated him, cut him up in to little bits & pieces, made soup & served him to the homeless. then the homeless got the shts really bad. just my hypothysis.
Maybe he's just disgusted with the world of mass media rock and roll and wants no part of it any more. If that's the case, I salute the son of a b****. The music ought to speak for itself, and if it can't, then him trying to hype it up will just look dumb. The poor record executives whining about him not promoting his album can go f*** themselves; they're just bitter because they're a dying breed.

He should be checking himself into a rehab, especially if he's high enough to think this was a good CD. Doesn't even qualify for mediocre. Axl should be ashamed of himself. Do we really care where he is? Maybe we should find out and mail back our copies of the CD.

Hey branded - I was just down your way, a couple weeks back.... I ended up sitting in a truckstop outside of Spartanburg,SC for a day and a half.... I didnt email ya, cause I assumed you wouldnt want to drive that far...??
Now that its too late... I suppose you'll tell me you had some killer herb and the drive would not have been a problem...??

My wife and I actually call it "breakfast for dinner". Like going to Denny's for a Grand Slam at 6pm. But I hear ya, I'll eat sandwiches or soup for breakfast, but have pancakes for dinner. A hot meatloaf sandwich or porkchops are great in the morning. For me anyway.

I just find it odd that he has gone in hiding since this has came out and their has been lil to no promotion for the album at all,I have only seen one commercial ever promoting this album,I will admit I am a GNR fan and think the album is alright,I have a strange feeling he never wanted to release this album but was forced to which then with the way Axl acts he probably was like I will release it but your on your own promoting it, have fun.

i think we're all 4getting that axl is the founding member of one of the greatest rock band of all time.
yeah, bought the album and personally think its great. the guitars and lyrics are unreal.
it may be slightly overproduced, but this is modern industry.
if the original crew made this album with the exact same songs, u's all would be sucking up now saying the album is brilliant!!!

someone that gave us classics such as paradise city, sweet child o mine, welcome 2 the jungle, november rain and the list continues. if the original members of gnr decided to reunite, it wud still suck without axl!!! grow up people.

jjj - wrong. This album is sub par - in every professional rating I have seen it gets is below 7 and most users rate it around 5.
And people change so what does it matter what he did in the past? He's a d*** and has been for a long time. If the original GNR brought this out I think it would have been out much faster for one thing, and about 10 times as good for another.

regardless of axl forming (in your opinion) 1 of the greatest bands of all time, he also, almost single handedly destroyed that (in your opinion) awesome band. now look at where axl has taken that (cough great band cough) to. the graveyard. he fvcked off for so many years on the record execs money, put the most expensive pile of crap on the market, and now has no desire to show his worthless self in public, because he knows that the u.s. public has no desire to hear from his whiny a$$ again. however, he could be staging a comeback and this is all a stunt. but, as for me, i hope he does not come back into the public light ever again. PLEASE STAY GONE AXL.

L.A. Guns are alright. They're one of those bands that I'd probably only pick up their greatest hits CD though, lol. I grew up on hair metal and classic rock, so there'll always be a spot in my CD collection for it, lol... but the majority of it is of course thrash and black / death metal. \m/

If I recall correctly..... there are actually two different bands named LA Guns at this point in time.... One features Tracii Guns... and the other has some of the other original band members...
If Im not mistaken... I think one has two n's.... as in LA Guns and LA Gunns.... either way, its kinda comical... LOL

Ah all good. No I lie. So over working Saturday mornings. And my home net is f***ed so I can't post any reviews until my parents get back from their holiday to fix it.
Besides that all is sweet. It is now summer here but if you were outside working like I am you'd think it is winter.

Wiggles - Actually they test for all drugs...!! but the "uppers" are definatly a No-no..!!
The only drug I do is weed.... and oddly enough, that is one that stays in your body the longest..!! The chemical THC sticks to your fat cells, so the only way to clean it out is to burn fat..!!
I take metabolism boosters and diet pills to clean out.... and they do the trick... but it still takes a week or two..??
I dont smoke when Im driving...but its nice to catch a buzz when Im home and off the roads..!!

Yes Godlike I am doing great and the little one is finding new ways to make me laugh, right now her plan is to put her bed sheets on her face and NOT being able to take them out of her face, so I find her every morning struggling to take the sheets off her face and failing. I rmeove the sheets and she gives me those wonderful smiles...and I know it's a good day already and what about you ?

While I do appreciate Appetite for Destruction, Paradise City is the one track on the album I skip everytime. Just puttin' it out there. If you like the song, thats great. Ive never been one for reunion tours though. Heaven and Hell, maybe. But if I get the urge to hear the old line-up, Ill just play the CD.
well what about mr brownstone and nighrtrain and your crazy. they are slo all great songs. megadeth are great lumpus5, but i'll listen 2 slayer after they write more than 1 good tune, we'l probly have to wait longer than chinese democracy 4 that to happen. the fact that u try and rate slayer above gnr is laughable!!

I think what we have here is a fan of "Hard Rock" talking about GnR in a "Heavy Metal" forum. This site leans more towards bands such as Slayer and Megadeth and most members are here because of that. Myself included. So while jjj might prefer GnR over Slayer, he is really in the minority on this website. I have no problems with anyone liking any music, but to argue that one band is better than another is strictly opinion and usually isnt true beyond the perception of the person trying to argue it. In short, we all like what we like. However you argue it, I will always prefer Slayer over Guns n' Roses. While I appreciate their earlier stuff, I have simply moved beyond them. My opinion on this isnt "wrong". Your opinion, while different, is not "wrong".

Agreed. Really, while I like both bands, Slayer and GNR are too different to really compare. Although it is a good point that while GNR crashed and burned and will never regain Appetite for Destruction form, Slayer's still cranking out good albums and kickin a$$ like they always have for the past 20 years or so. Honestly, Chinese Democracy does have a couple decent tracks, GNR is a sleeping dog that should have been left alone.

I guess alot of guns and roses fans think that everyone should like it,but thats not the case obvisouly. its so much diferent then say megadeath or slayer which i know a little about, and like some songs i understand that most people on this site are into the slayer/megadeath thing. axl fan, i took no offense to the joke, as u call it. but the whole reason we are feeling the way we do is because of axls himself. he kept delaying and delaying and delaying and delaying and delaying and...etc, etc, etc, etc, then, he gives the ""finished"" product to the execs. then dissappears for months now. why? whats his reasoning? NOONE CARES!!! HE HAS MADE HIMSELF THE RECLUSE HE HAS BECOME. this so called "most anticipated, and over hyped pile of sh1t" that he turned in has slowly begun to fade into history. look at the charts now. the entire world has shunned this cd. and its all axls fault.....
if axl had actually not been so in love with himself, thought he was gods gift to music, and let his ego destroy him (and g-n-r), then maybe this cd might have actually had a chance. o and not make the world wait for over a decade to release it. he kept changing things up all the time. then he was pressured into releasing it, and that p***ed him off....BUMMER FOR YOU AXL...get over yourself!!!!
