UNEARTH has announced 2009 world tour dates in support of its celebrated new album, "The March."

On January 9, 2009 UNEARTH will launch a North American headlining tour. Wasting no time starting the New Year right, the band will bring its explosive live show to 19 cities over the course of the scheduled three week trek. Dubbed, "F#%& School, F#%& Work, Let's Rage!," the tour will feature support from Emmure, Impending Doom, and Born of Osiris.

On February 11, UNEARTH will join forces with peers Lamb of God and Dimmu Borgir for the "Defenders Of The Faith 2" UK tour. Tickets are on sale now for the Metal Hammer-sponsored expedition, which will touch down in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow.

Upon the completion of the UK tour, UNEARTH will travel to Australia to perform as one of the featured acts of the 2009 Soundwave Festival. The festival, which originated in Perth, Western Australia and began traveling to other state capitals in 2007, features a hand-picked array of both International and Australian music acts, from various genres and will see UNEARTH perform alongside Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, The Dillinger Escape Plan and more. Visit soundwavefestival.com for further info.

Immediately following the Australian live dates, UNEARTH will head to Japan with both Lamb of God and In Flames for a string of live performances on March 4, 5 and 6.

On the topic of the forthcoming tours, UNEARTH front man Trevor Phipps commented, "With the release of our new record 'The March' we are now primed to get back on the road and bring our traveling party around the world again. If you want to be part of the metal, mayhem and rage, then come hang when we hit a city near you. See you on the road." A full listing of 2009 UNEARTH world tour dates follows.

I'm jealous of the UK's tour with Unearth, Lamb of God and Dimmu. That's bad-ass. Even their US tour doesn't look to be coming near the DC area though.

I can't believe the Japan or UK trip. That would be sick.

I'll be honest, they are hitting Iowa City which is awesome, but how do some bigger areas get the shaft?

Necropolis, I know what you mean.. Iowa City is a huge drive for me. Des Moines would be no problem, but few bands come here, even though we just got a huge new venue (Wells Fargo Arena).

Now playing: Pantera - "Death Rattle"

Iowa City's only 45 minutes away for me! =D but I'd rather have the UK line-up. However I don't know if the Picador is wheelchair accessible. =/

^That makes no f***ing sense to me whatsoever. If any of those two bands toured together I think i would be scratching my head in confusion, but all four? It's like trying to add two plus two and getting purple; my head hurts that much from just thinking about it...
