Social Distortion and Motörhead will be headlining the upcoming Musink Tattoo & Music Festival in Costa Mesa, California. The festival will be a 25-date tour, which takes place from January to March 2009. Official tour dates and many more bands are to be announced soon.

Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness is currently planning a solo tour, while Motörhead is supporting their new album "Motörizer". Earlier this year, Ness noted that Social D will return to the studio next year to rework their still-untitled new album. This will be their first studio album since 2004's "Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll."

Cool. Lemmy is God! Don't know about the Social Distortion gang, but they are actually cool. I hope there will be more bands playing in this festival.

f*** yeah! will definately go to this! I went last year. Motorhead and Social Distortion are two of my favorite bands. I better alert the troops, I will probably be going with at least a dozen people.

If anyone out of state is interested in this, get your a$$ to Orange County. They have this at the OC Fairgrounds. I live in Anaheim (less than 30 minutes away), so I could help with places to crash/driving arrangements.

Now playing Social Distortion/ Hour of Darkness

I like Social Distortion and Motorhead, but both bands on the same tour? Sounds kind of odd.

First Avenged Sevenfold with Iron Maiden, then Judas Priest with Testament, then Metallica with Machine Head and now Motörhead with Social Distortion? What's next Guns N' Roses with The Offspring? Or could it be AC/DC with Helmet?

All of those make sense (especially the Axl Rose Band with the Offspring) except Avenged Sevenfold with Iron Maiden...and ACDC never needs an opening band!

Mike Ness from Social Distortion is kick ass. I think you would really like the band that is playing with him in December. Check out Dead Rock West's new album "Honey and Salt" on facebook and add them as a friend. I think you would like their new single "Highway One"

Have a good day!
