Queensryche Announces New Album Title "American Soldier"

Progressive rockers Queensryche has announced that brand new studio album will be entitled "American Soldier" and that it finds the band once again exploring the realms of a concept album.

"Queensr├┐che has always had incredible support from members of the Armed Services," says Tate. "It seems like after every show, I'd end up speaking with a fan that was or had been involved with the military. The more and more I began to hear their accounts and feelings, the more I really felt a conviction to tell their story. Over the last two years, I've conducted dozens of one-on-one interviews with veterans of many different American wars. I listened to their amazing and moving recounts and did my best to examine war through their eyes."

Very cool news. This band used to be my favorite. They have had so many failed albums(for whatever reason), though, I hope this one will be great. I lost faith in Queensryche after Q2K. I still picked up the albums, but nothing compared to Empire or the earlier albums, like Operation Mind Crime. Tribe was ok, but, I miss hearing Queensryche. I hope for the best.

I have to agree with you - Silent Lucidity killed this band for a while. That song was over-played soooo much, I got tired of it. The radio never played any of the really good songs because I guess, they were too loud...or something. Empire is still quite epic, along with OM.

Obviously an ignorant, hater above me. For your information - Queensryche was one of the most popular metal bands in the late 80s, and 90s. Do some research before showing how much of a moron you are..pust. You wouldn't know about 80s metal if it came up and took your head off...ala Wesley Willis. Your mastery of the English language - astounds me -
