Eden A.D. Parts Ways With Drummer Eric Chun and Posts Coolio Cover Online
Eric Chun, drummer of New York death metallers, Eden A.D., has left the band. Chun issues the following explanation for his departure:
"I come w/ much love to tell you all that I am stepping down as drummer for Eden a.d."
"It's been a great ride all these years, making and playing music, bonding with scenemates. I've got nothing but love for everyone who has supported us and all the bands that struggled and battled in the scene with us. Most of all, I love my bandmates and there are no hard feelings that are the reason for me leaving. I know that's typical bullshit in a public statement even if it's not true, but it's the truth here--ask anyone in the band."
"I am planning my last show to be my birthday party this year on November 7th, so look out for news about this show in the coming weeks, and please keep the date open on your calendars. I would love to see as many people I've been cool with in the scene throughout the years at this show as my proper goodbye to the scene."
"As for the band after that, they will need a new drummer, hopefully better than me =P so contact them if you know any interested drummers."
In other news, Eden A.D. have just posted their cover of Coolio's Gangster's Paradise on their MySpace page.
