AC/DC Rock Band Game Details Revealed

Beginning in November, video gamers around the world will get to experience what it's like to rock like AC/DC with the Rock Band exclusive release of AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack. Created by Harmonix and MTV Games, AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack marks the first time ever the band has offered an entire album for video game play.

AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will feature the master recordings from the best of the band's live performances specially remixed for Rock Band by Brendan Fraser, who mixed the band's forthcoming album, Black Ice, at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC. Players will be able rock-out to 18 of AC/DC's biggest hits, allowing for more than 99 minutes of game play for each instrument. Included are:

"Thunderstruck"
"Shoot To Thrill"
"Back in Black"
"Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be"
"Heatseeker"
"Fire Your Guns"
"Jailbreak"
"The Jack"
"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"
"Moneytalks"
"Hells Bells"
"High Voltage"
"Whole Lotta Rosie"
"You Shook Me All Night Long"
"T.N.T."
"Let There Be Rock"
"Highway To Hell"
"For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)"

The game will be available exclusively in the U.S. at Walmart and Sam's Club this November, and in retailers throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand beginning in early December. All tracks from the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will also be available for play in Rock Band, Rock Band 2 and other compatible music game peripherals.

"When MTV first launched in 1981, we promised that people would 'never look at music the same way again' and, with Rock Band, we continue to fulfill this commitment," stated Paul DeGooyer, MTV's Senior Vice President of Electronic Games & Music. "We're excited to be part of AC/DC's and Columbia's global plan for the release of their new album, DVD and now, videogame. Being the first to present these revered songs in interactive form, exclusively on the Rock Band platform is a true honor. For those about to rock with the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack, we salute you!"

Except you know. . .most of those 100+ minutes of game play on each instrument will be the most tedious and inane thing in the world.

Well, in a game with only five buttons, I don't think it will be all that bad.

Are you sure that was Brendan Fraser who mixed the new album and re-mixed the songs for the game? Well, the guy who produced was Brendan O'Brien and the album was remixed by Mike Fraser. Brendan Fraser is still an actor and non-professional photographer!

stupid a$$ video game money schemes using any big band they can think of.. it all went downhill when Guitar Hero: Aerosmith came out.. not everyone gives a sh** about a single band being a whole game.. they should just stick with mixed songs rather than games that are only 1 band.. its really pathetic and greedy of the companys

40 bucks for a handful of tracks? Thats like twice the price of a normal full album DLC! Sorry, I've been waiting for AC/DC to come to rock band, but not like this.
