The second day of Indianapolis Metal Fest II has been cancelled. Here's a statement from show organizers:

"Due to issues entirely beyond our control, the Saturday show at 5100 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis has been cancelled. More details will be available on our website soon.

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Make-up dates are being considered, and we are certain to file legal action against the parties responsible for this situation.

"Thanks to all who came out to the show on Friday night -- it was a GREAT crowd and the bands were amazing. Though we were unable to give you the show we wanted to give you due to problems and code violations within the venue, I think we all pulled together as best we could and made the Friday night show one hell of a good show.

"Special thanks to Morgan and Mercedes Lander from Kittie for being so exceptionally cool. Extra special thanks to Dino Cazares for invaluable advice and support during the show.

"A major announcement and statement will be made concerning this issue in a day or so."

A make up date with all the great bands who were suppose to perform on Saturday will not happen. I would'nt trust the guy who put this on with a potted plant. I hope he gets sued for a lot of money.

This was not entirely his fault that day was a disaster from the get go. The fire marshall shut the bldg down nobody knew what time they were coming on they had to build a 2nd stage to accomidate other bands. The first one went well and i hope mr mason puts it back at The Knights Of Columbus and Birdys hell it was all in one block. But it was crazy to witness a heavy metal parking lot kind of show.

The promoter should have made sure that this venue had all its ducks in a row. Some woman who was volunteering all of a sudden took over the show and did a pretty good job making sure all of the headliners went on. It was funny seeing her run around lookin like a chicken with its head cut off but she hooked it up while the organizer was no where to be found and while everyone was looking for him. Divine Heresy ruled and so did The Absence. Arsis did too Those were the best acts of the night. The local bands sucked eggs except for one. That lady should put on a show of her own-heard that she got it on with Mistress Julia too!. Talentless Kittie was ridiculous. Theyre not even good looking! Not bad for a free show for sure.

I left at 10 i didnt know it was going that late so i said bye to my homie psychomatthias and jetted. I liked the Deathcore band And Hell Followed With and that thrash band from Flint MI whick thier name eludes me but that was about it. I was irritated that they snubbed Hordes Of Nebullah but i saw them the next night in C-ville. So which local you dug? Demiricous? I dont think Mercykill got to play and Gates Of Slumber didn't either.

That band from flint was I Decay, (my band, i play lead) also the lady that ran the show while rob mason was no where to be found was our manager velda garcia from Metal City Entertainment, and she did a wonderful job with what all happend, I also agree she should do the show on her own cause shes an expectionally good buisiness women. We the Absense, Woe of tyrants and our metal city brothers battlecross was gonna do a show in the skate park but it was so short notice and the absense had to be in witchita the next day so we all cut our losses and went home. although we made out cause we actaully got to play unlike some unfortunate bands. But rk thanks for the kind words heres our websites and Battlecross

oh and when rob was no where to be found he was hiding on our bus freaking out like a little kid he just had no clue what he was getting into with that many big bands, i hope he never puts a show on again-
