Warrant Parts Ways With Singer Jani Lane
BLABBERMOUTH.NET has received the following statement from long-running California rockers WARRANT:
"It is with the deepest regret that we have to announce that Jani Lane will no longer be performing with WARRANT.
"From the beginning of our reunion talks to the last note of our last show together in Houston this past weekend [on August 31 at the Rock The Bayou festival], we have had nothing but good intentions of bringing a quality original WARRANT show to our fans and friends.
"We wish Jani nothing but the best and remain friends.
"We are very excited that we have found an unbelievable voice in Robert Mason [LYNCH MOB], an old friend of the band. We have three dates confirmed, come out and judge for yourself… We don't think you will be disappointed!"
Upcoming WARRANT shows:
Sep. 09 - Tucson, AZ - Casino Del Sol (w/ ALICE COOPER)
Sep. 19 - Maplewood, MN - The Myth (w/ TRIXTER)
Oct. 17 - Tyler, TX - The Oil Palace (w/ QUEENSRŸCHE, KIP WINGER)

Just check out the YouTube video of Warrant at Rock the Bayou. You will see for yourself why he was fired. If your lead singer is too high or drunk to remember the words HE wrote, and starts singing Cherry Pie while the band is playing Machine Gun, that's all the reasons you need to fire him. Don't get me wrong, I love Jani with Warrant, but this was a TRAIN WRECK! The band had no other option but to fire him so they could keep making a living.
