According to The Pulse Of Radio, METALLICA is offering a Death Magnetic Experience pre-sale ticket package between now and September 13th, the official general on-sale date for tickets to the band's upcoming North American tour. Members of the group's fan club have already had first crack at tickets, and now American Express cardholders will get their shot on Monday and Tuesday (September 8th and September 9th), followed by a general public pre-sale on Wednesday (September 10th). The package includes purchase of up to four tickets with better seating, a free download of the show you attend at LiveMetallica.com, and delivery "right to your door" of the band's new CD, Death Magnetic. The pre-sale ends at midnight on September 12th.
The band states: "For each ticket you buy, you get a copy of the album. If you purchase four tickets, you get four copies of the CD. Don't need four copies? Give one to your friends, your mom, or a random dude on the street... just spread the new album to as many ears as possible."

I can honestly say D.M. has a few great moments! many of the intro's are very promising, but not enough main riff focus. Nothing slow mean and heavy in a Sad but true style. Also, nothing outstanding mid tempo wise. If you're a smart fan of this band you'll just have to accept it for it's highs n lows. It's good enough, but not great. I really believe the net has killed the anticipation. Plus, Metallica knows they've been away too long!! This explains why they presently have 60% of the disc online now. A message to all of you download freaks...Some of us still prefer first rate quality and appreciate the cd in hand! Mp3's are cool ,but i still own real stereo equipment to. I plan on pissing off a few neighbors next friday, with death magnetic crankin!! Sound wise very live, but not polished enough for me. I expected so much more production wise. I'm also bummed over just getting 10 tracks....I wanted more....Lastly, Kirk skipping an entire album of soloing did nothing for his chops....he's the biggest let down on D.M. because his playing hasn't grown much since the black album. Theres not a great solo on this album, but James is a beast as usual.
