He's out of his goddamn mind, but it's awesome.
I agree with PTF, Gavin's one of the best prog drummers out there but he's underrated. In addition to his great fills and stuff, he's got great control of playing on odd time signatures too...like in The Sound Of Muzak.

Gavin Harrison is a very underrated drummer. It seems that if you don't listen to PT you don't know who he is. He has won the best modern drummer award (I think for two years in a row). Anyway, he is amazing. Being a great prog drummer is hard work and Gavin's talent seem endless. Since Porcupine Tree has moved closer to a more "metal sound" it has given him a chance to really blast out the drum beats.
If you want to hear Gavin's work I'd say listen to the PT song "Anesthetize". Around 11:00 minutes into the song he gives an awesome blast beat. Even throughout the song you hear great agressive prog drumming.
Steven Wilson is lucky to have this guy.
