There's a reason why most of these clips don't have vocals on it. and the unforgiven 3? since when does a metallica song start with piano? i'll give them some props for having good riffs, but i think that's all this album will have. think about if they just showed the highlights of st. anger and it was well recorded...

How any fan of good metal didn't like the first 3 songs they've released have something seriously wrong with them. Melodies, fast tempos, time changes, heavy tones, vigor, energy, LIFE (not meant to be a pun with the concept of the album). It's Metallica. And it's great. I really don't honestly see how some people don't like My Apocalypse. It's like the second coming of Damage Inc, and in a lot of ways it might be better. Open your f***ing ears, and stop listening to your lower intestine. In other words, get your heads out of your asses. Luckily most of you aren't the majority of the fans. But, what would I expect from "hardcore fans" that know everything there is about music and have never changed anything about themselves at all over the past who knows how many years. Done ranting.

Good rant Mike J, it does seem that alot of peeps on here are quick to dismiss new metallica because they are metal eliteists and Metallica have done some poor albums between now and the glory days, but from what I've heard so far, I'm looking forward to this. The fast tempos are back, they're actually RIFFING again, and I forgot that Kirk isn't that bad with the solos, it seems his dropped the bluesy, wah soaked solos in favour of the old school shredding.
I've been a Metallica fan for as long as I can remember and I do love the old stuff, however I find it ridiculous when people try and relate/compare their present material with the past...it's not a bad thing to do, but just face it.
I suggest people follow Mikes advice and not take it personally. At least grasp the CONCEPT and don't take it literally. I can't wait for this album :)
the only thing i don't like about "My apocalypse" is actually where he says the title of the song. I think it sounds lame. Plus one of Arch Enemy's best songs is called "My Apocalypse". Might as well name the album Re-Master of Puppets and hope that gets the trick done.
But no, seriously, I think the album's gonna be killer and as a somewhat realistic person, I don't believe that 5 minutes worth of a 80 minute album is going to do it any kind of justice at all, so, yeah. I'm going to wait on this one. I want to like this album REALLY bad. Wonder when it's gonna be leaked...

Piano?, Let's see, they've had "Load" and "Reload", I guess this album should be called "Crap-Load". Hetfield never could sing worth a damn and now they think they are pianists? I usaually get CD's from friends or the library to listen to. I can proudly say that I do not own a Metallica CD anymore(fall out over NAPSTER). Can anyone actually say Metallica has ever done anything in the same league with SLAYER?

Mike J., I hated Metallica before NAPSTER(very bad vocals) and gave up on them after they went commercial. I have ears and listen to all types of music from metal to jazz to funk to soul to techno, flamenco, ect. Metallica have nothing new to offer the music world. They haven't grown as musicians. I can name 20 guitarist better than Kirk H. and a few dozen drummers better than Lars. Listen to Joe Stump and listen to Kirk H., Stump is light years ahead of him. My advice, get the new Yngwie Malmsteen album on Oct. 18 and listen to what music by professional musicians sounds like. And P.S., I've almost completely given up on Megadeath also.
I'm probably going to bite my keyboard when I say this but... as metal fans, how can we all accept a band like Judas Priest who continuously puts out albums that sound so different, and judge a band that has reached their same stature as a legend. Lets just be glad that they are still around to put it to the true bulls*** that keeps coming out without our control. I'm speaking of Metallica of course.. and I'm not that big of a fan but thy deserve my respect

Until I here the whole album I shall reserve judgment, but, as one blogger advised, I will be buying the new Yngwie Malmsteen album and already know it will be better than anything Lars and the boys could come up with. Boo-hooing....Metallica sold out their fan base and that is unforgivable.
