I don't understand Why MachineHead hasn't headlined their own tour already. I mean the Blackening was taken as a masterpiece by a lot of fans and magazines, and they've been around awhile already. Since their sound keeps changing here and there, I'm sure they've drawn in a fairly diverse fanbase, and when I saw them with LoG, I think the only reason their live show didn't overshadow the headliner was BECAUSE it was LoG.

They already toured with both Metallica and Slipknot before, why can't they take somebody under THEIR wing on a concert hmmm...?

bleh...

Ive seen MH headline 3 times. Once with God Forbid & 36 Crazyfists...best show. Once with Devildriver and It dies today, and a while ago with 3rd Strike & Darwins Wainting Room. MH was great everytime. Last time I saw MH, direct support of Hellyeah...only played 6 songs tho.

Machine Head headlined the Black Crusade, didn't they? And yeh, Another MH goer, depending on the price. Should be interesting to hear Slipknot's new songs though, All Hope Is Gone seems pretty promising.

Robinson Pavillion is at the Claremont Showgrounds, where they do the Royal Show each year. Saw Korn and Chaimira there in April, not the best place for a Metal Concert but i'll go anywhere to see Slipknot and Machine Head!!!

Robinson Pavillion sucks. Perth needs a new metal venue. Good thing there two sic bands or i would'nt bother going to that sh** hole. Its like a sheep shed with a wire fence half way for the drinking section. Go the knot and the head can't wait.

Have seen both bands live before & they both rule. Recently Machinehead handed Slipknot their ass, but barely. If the past is anything to go by tho Slipknot have handed Machinehead their a$$ on many mre occasions.
2 bands with huge ego's bot wanting to outdo the other, f*** YEA will only make for a better tour for the fans.
Machinehead are solid but never write off Slipknot they are crazy as f***, especially when headlining on a world tour for a new album.

Machine Head is badA$$ live! The only band that seemed to be just as good as they were..possibly better was Gojira. I have seen MH once, and seen several live videos..they really bring a lot of energy to the stage..and Flynn and co. just know how to work the audience into a frenzy....awesome, man!

Slipknot's showws only seem better because they always get the headlining spot, usually at night, when everyone's good and wasted, have a bunch of pyrotechnics to wake everybody up, and a crazy light show(not to mention 4 dudes on stage for no reason...)

Machine Head had none of that at Mayhem, and I still say they put on a better show than slipknot. They play kickass live, they now how to work the real crazy metalheads into a fervor, and , oh yeah, ITS ACTUAL METAL. Nothing really against Slipknot, but after seeing both LoG AND Machine Head at night, those f***ers can't really impress me in the least.

Now Playing: Ekotren- "Chupacabra"

machine head will probably play a better sounding show like they did at the black crusade, but slipknot will probably have a better stage presence. not by much though. i just hope taylors voice isnt all f***ed up from ten years of destroying his vocal chords. flynns raw gravelly voice we can always depend upon though.

oh and if anyone is interested, the last time i checked adelaide prices they are $89 + $3 booking fee. seems a bit much i think...but i still think ill go. i dunno how much it is for other states...
