Varg Vikernes Denied Parole For The Second Time

Count Grishnackh (real name Varg Vikernes) - the erstwhile Burzum musician who is currently serving a 21-year jail sentence for murdering Mayhem guitarist Oystein "Euronymous" Aarseth and setting fire to three churches in 1993 - has been denied parole by the Norwegian justice system for the second time.
Officials say that his escape from jail five years ago and ties with neo-Nazi groups have affected his chances of an early release.
"I haven't been in contact with them for a long time," Vikernes tells Norway's Aftenposten. "Police security services know this."

I do not condone his politics in anyway but I am one of those people that believe Varg's part of that story and I believe Euronymous should be dead. Euroymous was nothing more sthan a facist pig who thought that people who didn't think like him were idiots and should be killed, he had ONE good quality- he was an awesome guitar.
To the topic at hand, I am not surprised seeing how he tried to escape a couple of years ago and they found him armed to the teeth with assault rifles and explosives. But still 21 years for what anyone else in Norway would have gotten 14-16 for.
By the way I have not seen any proof that Varg is a neo-nazi, he definetly believes in racial purity but that doesn't mean that he hates or thinks he is superior. The only thing I have seen linking him to nazism is his hatred for judaism/christianity.

Kali, I'm just stating my opinion on the subject, and Varg's side of the story (the part I believe) was self-defense on Varg's part. For his story go to http://www.burzum.org/eng/library/a_burzum_story02.shtml. Honestly (apart from going to Euronymous' place in the first place) I would have done the same thing in his position.
Cynic, I don't deny he's a musical genius (Even though I hate Varg, I do listen to Burzum). But don't forget who is playing the guitar in "War" (that's right, Euronymous helped Varg with that track. That solo is Euronymous').
cruor, the time I've been on this site, I've always respected your opinions and agreed (yes, this is SexBloodandMetal/Azazel_begotten). I beg to differ here. I also read the "Burzum story", Varg is full of sh**. The Dead tell no tales, and Varg was just lucky enough that Euronymous isn't able to testify. Euronymous, prior to getting into the black metal scene, was the leader of a communist youth group in Norway (so you really can't call him a fascist). But I digress.
Varg takes too much time in that "explanation" of his trying so hard to make Euronymous look like a coward and some kind of fake. And his story on how Euronymous was killed in defense is too cracked up anyway. "I came to his house with a knife, and while Euronymous was still half-asleep in his underwear, he tried to kill me. So I stabbed him, and while he was running away, he somehow threw the weapon he used to attack me somewhere that it was never seen again."
Lets also not forget that Varg changed his story to the cops too many damn times anyway. "He fell on glass, and every shard was sharp enough to stab him to death in 30 some odd places." Yeah f***ing right! Now he wants to act like he's a victim of the system!? In america, there are plenty of people who are doing time for rapes and murders that they didn't commit! (Such as the West Memphis Three-the WM3 for short. Just google it!). And somehow Varg commits the murder, burns 3 churches (that, I support), and admits it basically, and he's the victim!? I should kill him for being a b**** about the whole thing! I swear, the way he talks about killing Euronymous, reminds me of O.J. Simpson's "If I Did It" (I did read that book). Just in his manner of telling that story (and that's all it is, a f***ing STORY! And a fictional one at that). Euronymous' "Helvete" Record store was NOT faltering! Euronymous gathered no debts. He was doing fine, and without Varg!
You know what I think it was? I think Varg killed him out of envy. Its so damn obvious that beneath all that propaganda he preaches about Euronymous, he's *only* saying it out of jealousy to make himself sound like he was better than Euronymous, that Euronymous wasn't as trve as him in a way. Plus, more people know Euronymous now since his death, and give him more acclaim (he's like the Tupac of Black Metal now) than Varg. And the only decent thing Varg did was burn some churches along the way. And that, anyone coud've done, but didn't.
Varg killed Euronymous like a coward, and therefore should die like the lying, attention-starved coward he is!

Christfvcker, good to see you by the way man was wondering what happened to you dude, we are all entitled to our opinions and I that is what I think about what happened with Arseth and Vikernes, but the only person who knows for sure 100% is Varg and maybe he is lying/giving it a spin to make him look better.

You read the story so this is my take on what happened, Varg shows up to Euronymous' apartment, Euronymous has been planning on killing Varg and I guess he thinks that Varg has showed up to beat him to the punch, so (according to Varg anyway) Euronymous kicked him, I don't know where you came up with "he somehow threw the weapon..." but Varg stated he never had a weapon in his possession. This probably isn't the best place to debate the subject, if you wish to continue than hit me up on my email, if not than that's cool man. Good to hear from you dude.

Not yet Godlike, should be sometime next month I'm still trying to save up a little bit more money and trying to decide which guitar I want. So far I'm thinking a Gibson Les Paul.
Kali, lol a strange Burzum fan indeed. Don't understand it myself but I think the world would be a bit brighter (or darker depending on how you look at the situation lol) if he died. I defend him because I respect him as a musician and as a man of action (a person who acts on what he believes, can't say the same for Euronymous) but his racial ideas are gibberish.
I'm kinda on the line with this one. His story seems believable but there is too too many holes. Why was he wearing gloves? If it was cold, why was he wearing a t-shirt but no jacket? Things like that make me want to believe otherwise. However, like kalis said, if Varg inhibitions were right, Varg could have ended up 6 feet under instead of E. Either way, paranoia can tear your life apart. Look at Hitler.

Since this is the closest thing to a black metal thread I would like to say a few things regarding blacl metal.
As I sit on my porch with Immortal on my headphones I am reminded as to why I love black metal. The sound and the lyrics not only make me proud of my Swedish heritage, but they ground me. To md black metal is a life style and a complete pride in everything it stands for. My heart beats and ignites with a passion that makes me who I am. The lyrics take me to my home where my ancestors cme from. Being a woman of Viking ancestory can relate. The individual that black metal represents can feel the comfort that the cold grim mountians bring. I am taken from my daily life. In the mountians of maddness I am comfortable. As a woman of Scandinavian blood feel that the Satanic and Norse Kingdom is mine!

Kalis, I know what you mean when you talk about the lyrics taking you to the land of your ancestors. Myself being of Viking heritage also, I'm proud of it, yet people I know seem to think that all the Vikings did was pillage and rape. Ignorance.
But anyway, relating to the topic of the thread, I have to say I agree with Christf*cker (post #32), along with most people who have replied to this thread. I too listen to Burzum occasionally, but I don't agree with Varg's neo-Nazi ideas. I've read his story about the death of Euronymous, and it does seem extremely one-sided. Besides, if he wasn't completely guilty, why did Varg flee after the murder at the first sight of the police? Doesn't that speak for itself on his stance? Also, he hid in the back of the car so he wouldn't be seen!
Varg claims that he's being a martyr and I think enjoys it because it makes him feel like some sort of messiah or something like that. I say let him rot in that cell... or better yet, sentence him to some hard-labor so that Norway gets some sort of benefit from him being in jail rather than just paying for his sorry a$$ (I'm assuming Norway's prisons are paid for by taxes like here in America?).

That one guy, I have not yet read the version Varg gave in the link Curor provided, but it seems that it has holes in it from what people in this thread have commented about it have said.
The Vikings did their fair share of rapeing and pillaging, but they also had community, art and a sound religion. The Romans would like you to think they were barbaric, but archeology has proven otherwise.
Many holes indeed.. Varg seems to try to make it look like Euronymous brought it on himself (when it was Varg who knocked on his door with knife in hand!) and practically fell on the knife that was lodged deep in his skull..

The Menace series or the BFG series are relatively affordable.. depending on your finances..!! ya ever looked at places like musiciansfriend or americanmusicalsupply or 123music all of those require a .com... scratched and dent sales = cheap

godlike, I have since gotten rid of that Squier actually. One of my bandmates got a Randy Rhoads Jackson Flying V, and he gave me his older Dean. My Dean handles so well, it sounds so good on my sh**ty little amp (which says alot) I decided to buy another one (Something black and perfect for my style), as well as a good halfstack. Also, I've honed my skills well on it. I can sound like Karl Sanders now.
In general, life is hard (living past the family bullsh**, recovering from my own alcoholism, sex addiction, paranoia), but I'm toughing it out.

To make a long story short; my grandfather passed away due to a fire that happened at my grandmothers greenhouse. He went out to smoke at 3am and died at 8:30pm May 16th and born December 22nd 1925. He was my closest grandfather and the whole left in my family big and un-refillable. He was a sweet man and a world war two vet. I miss him alot!
Read Vargs story and agree with thoes saying it has holes in it. Thank you Curor for sending that to me.

Its been pretty dry around here... Ive even had to water my garden a few times...Certainly, I cant let my chamomile dry out ( before its ready to be picked and dried that is)... Its looking so pretty and smells so scrumptious... I can hardly wait until its time to harvest ;-)--~ ~

Yep, the stud gets along with my family, even my less than nice sister. It is very nice! Sven, is my adoped brother by the way and we meet two years ago on the Dimmu fourms. The stud was a real Parametic a few years ago, so he knew exactly what to do.
Hope you can get things straightened out with the living situation. Here in Wa we have plenty of room for another metaller! ;)
