Sweet Savage Added To Wacken Line Up

Recently reformed new wave of british heavy metal band Sweet Savage has been confirmed for the 2008 Wacken Open Air Festival in Wacken, Germany. The festival will take place between July 31st - August 2nd this year.

Sweet Savage also recently gave the following statement on their MySpace page in regards to the previously announced compilation album which was subsequently cancelled:

We have been recieving messages regarding the Compilation which has been announced for release in a double LP format. We can confirm that this release will NOT be going ahead, the record will not be released as a Sweet Savage record. Presently the band have the full length records Killing Time and Rune released, not to mention the 2 singles which were released in the late 70's/early 80's, as well as this, a 4 track compilation EP has been produced in a limited quantity and for now is only available at Sweet Savage gigs. To anyone who pre-ordered Eye Of The Storm - The Early Years, we appologise, this pre-sale and announcement was not made by the band and we suggest you contact the place where you pre-ordered the record from.

I agree, that's nice that they play wacken but a lot of people want them to release the classic old material, especially on vinyl
