Sharon Osbourne, you are the Yoko Ono of our generation.

They're only saying this now because they're noticing the fiscal differences. f*** Ozzfest and f*** Sharon. Talk about alienating your fanbase, you goddamn money-hungry b****.

You might want to reserve attacks on Sharron until 09 CTJJ. You know what they say about making assumtions. They make amd a$$ out of you and me. I had wondered if Americas got talent had something to do with Ozzfest being a one day gig and to be honest the woman deserver a break from it. Its also not ailenating your fan base on Sharrons side. Ozzy is the artist not her.

No, I don't give a fxck. I've given Ozzy the benefit of the doubt for years.

When I went to my first concert it was Ozzy, Korn, and the Deftones in 1998. The shirt I got was $12 more than the ticket. That's a $38 shirt. I let that slide.

When he booked Crazy Town, Linkin Park, Disturbed, AND Papa Roach in 2000, I let THAT go.

When he put his face all over reality TV and showed all his fans how powerless and lost he really is for two seasons, I let it slide.

When he made Ozzmosis, I let it go.

When he let System of a Down take over Ozzfest for nearly two seasons, I let it go.

When he put out that piece of shxt Down to Earth, I let it go.

When he had a sh**fest, and called it "free" (because that's what that tour was truly worth) I let it go.

And now he's abandoned fans NATIONWIDE so he can have one day in Texas, due to him taking a world tour (why? Simple. $$$$$$$$$$$$).

Ozzy is a fxcking corpse and Sharon works the strings. She leads him where she wants him to go. Ozzy used to be revered worldwide, and now, he's become a stammering, drowsy mess. And I don't care that he was in Sabbath. Great, they made their mark. Done.

Maybe Sharon pulled him out of his drug-soaked stupor in the late 80's-early 90's, but I fail to respect her for that.

And yeah, Ozzy is the artist, not her. Then why does she do all she can to separate Ozzy further from his fans? How goddamned hard is it to wheel his decrepit a$$ onstage for a hour once every two days? He's raking in the cash!

Oh, and Kalis, I wasn't making assumptions. Those were statements. I agree with Txmetalhead. I'm done with Ozzfest until something spectacular gets done with it. I'm getting sick of hanging onto former legends because of what they used to be like, as opposed to what they are now. Ozzy's as worn out as the crotch on a fat woman's corduroys and you'd have to be either blind or retarded to not notice that.

Don't get me wrong, Ozzfest is always a good time in hindsight, but the last time I went, I watched Dragonforce almost get booed offstage, and that's pretty depressing since they're one of the only original metal bands out there nowadays. It's like they put them on the bill as a fxcking joke, and them and SYL were the main 2 bands I was there to see. And now Disturbed has done how many Ozzfests? Hatebreed?

Give me a fxcking break. I'll be a sucker no more.

Let's face it. Ozzfest has been catering only to the most popular circles of metal since its inception and thats all it will ever cater to. Nu-Metal, Melodeath, and Metalcore have all had their turns being a part of Ozzfest and the chances of a decent Ozzfest happening again are about the same chances that Ozzy won't have to have about a dozen vocal effects the next time he records anything.

There have been complete sh** bands there, but there have been some really good ones too. I'll admit the last time i went to Ozzfest Slayer was on the main stage, I went every year to that point. I may have gone the following yr i can't remember.

Crawford makes some good points, but every time they come around there's like 20 bands, and 10 are worth checking out for $50. When the Crazy Towns and Datsuns are playing go take a leak. Do what I do, slam 2 or 3 beers in the parking lot, then you can limit the $9 beers inside.

I agree with you whole heartedly CTJJ. Although I disagree that Ozzy truly wanted to make it a one day event. With all the things sharon is trying to do, it really isn't a suprise she doesn't want to manage another big tour right after his last one. Lazy on her part. But other than that. 100% agree.

you guys should consider yourself lucky in the US that you get a tour like that! Here in Australia we have a few festivals now, but nothing with the musicians Ozzfest has. We have Big Day Out and Soundwave, but thats about it for any decent music, and even then, nothing for metal only.
Would love to have Ozzfest come over here, but it would just be too expensive as they have to travel too far between shows, and our population isnt big enough for more than about 5-8 shows.

Just like 3 weeks ago, sharon said ozzfest would turn into a one destination fest for now on. What happened?

I'll miss OZZFEST not coming around this year, but I am CERTAIN that the real reason OZZFEST (and even KISS) are not bothering to tour the USA this summer is becuase---THE US ECONOMY SUCKS!! KISS and OZZFEST tours costs alot of $$$ and both would probably wouldn't even make $$$ in America with high enemployment, the price of gas and food at such unacceptable prices.

Maybe Sharon thought it over and hopes thing will be better (bullsh*t) in 2009.

I'd rather have Black Sabbath be all I knew of Ozzy. That way, history would be the only judge. Not only did he change music with Sabbath, but AFTER he was "rescued" by this limey HAG, we saw him make some stunningly BAD records and a few tepidly MEDIOCRE ones. I would trade in The Ultimate Sin (my favorite Ozzy album) to erase the rest of them. Especially the newest four or so.

I'd rather Ozzy be known for Sabbath and Sabbath ONLY rather than the mockery that he's let himself become.

Correct, Beck...better to pull a Stevie Ray Vaughan than pull a Metallica.

W/O Sharon there would be no Ozzy, period. No Blizzard of Ozz and no Ozzfest. I've never missed a year. The acts have been up and down, last year stunk. But for $50 you get to see at least 20 bands, that's a great deal. And even last year when the line was awful I still got to see Ozzy twice for free.

BTW, Ozzmosis is a fantastic album. Listen to it again sometime. For me, it's the best thing he's done since Diary.

It's nice that you're all such big fans you'd rather he died or never did anything after Sabbath. You people would make Ozzy sick.
