He also discusses the sone he wrote for Dario Argento’s new horror film “Mother of Tears,” the horror-themed video he wants to do for the new record and the long-awaited history book he wrote with Gavin Baddeley “Gospel of Filth: A Bible of Decadence and Darkness,” which he hopes will be out by Halloween.

Personally the only stuff by Cradle of Filth that I really enjoyed was Cruelty and the Beast and then the song "Her Ghost in the Fog" from Midian. Pretty much anything after that was either more of the same, outright boring, or too over the top and cheesy to take seriously. I didn't even bother to pick up Thornography, and boy was I glad I didn't when someone showed me a video of "The Foetus of a New Day Kicking".

I liked the last album, it's a bit more mainstream...but I still enjoyed it. Needs more "dark orchestra" sound though.

I still listen to Dusk... And Her Embrace (my personal favorite), Cruelty and the Beast, Cradle to Enslave, and Midian. Occasionally I pick up Damnation and a Day but what the f*** was I thinking getting Nymphetamine? I'm just glad I didn't waste my money on Thornography. I have given up on new material after Thorn.

He used to have an actual range. But Thornography contained nothing of his interesting highs and there hasn't been anything resembling lows since. . .pre-Midian?

I like all of the Cradle stuff. The newer stuff (mostly Thornography) isn't nearly as good as the old stuff, but it's still good. They are a very talented band. I'm deffinately looking forward to a new album, hopefully it won't sound as mainstream as Thornography. Though, I did enjoy Thornography. Midian is probably my favorite album of theirs.

To address post number 12. Ah, the maturity. You are the "mature" 25 year old that is cursing at random people on the internet... Not me.

Age has absolutely nothing to do with maturity... Until your realize that, you are not a man rather than a boy who just so happens to live in a larger body.

If you don't like something then please do keep your mouth shut.

You have the right to free speech... I have the right to believe that you are an absolute moron whose place shall be served cooking food at McDonald's. Good day, a$$hole.

^ Your right I do have a right to free speech and I am about to use it to the fullest right now. I have never worked with fast food in my life and never will. My current job is way better than fast food and higher than minumum wage. and the whole point of free speech is to say whether i like something or not. I happen not to like cradle of filth and think they suck. So what, who cares. Its my opinion. You on the other hand have a problem with me saying that they suck. i'm assuming you are a fan of cradle of filth cause you're p***ed off at my comments. Poor you for being a fan of such a sh**ty band. Good day to you douchbag!!!

Warlock-- I do not give a flying f*** that you don't like Cradle of Filth. The fact you get on the internet and literally put time and effort into insulting a band is pathetic.

You obviously don't realize the irony in getting on the internet, cursing about a band that you hate and then calling me "immature" for telling you to get over yourself.

If you would have bothered to have even read my first post you would know that I don't even consider myself a fan of the band.

In the words of Maynard James Keenan, "f*** you, buddy!"

Kumar, if you have read any of my posts, you know that I use punctuation and that I have perfect grammar. Your point was somewhat useless. Why didn't you bother to challenge "warlockzero" about that? You're quite obviously biased. Oh no. Pursuit of vikings' name isn't capitalized. What ever will we do?

I'm not saying that winning a "fight" on the internet is useful. This is an argument, not a fight. There is no such thing as a fight over the internet. Suggesting that this is a fight is dumb. People should be allowed to have arguments, and I can most certainly say that I do not need someone who feels as if he has seniority over the internet to moderate my thoughts.

Kumar, I must correct you.

You are the wise man, PoV.

Why didn't you add your comma? And you are the one telling me that I have bad grammar? Do not get angry. I am not starting a "fight", and to be quite honest, I don't care to argue with someone who cannot practice what he believes he teaches.

- A scene kids Nightmare

P.S. I know that it's A scene kid's nightmare. There's a reason why I spelled in the ungrammatical way that I chose.

well, if you really want to get technical, scene kid, you started a sentence with a conjunction. a third grade level error made by someone claiming to use perfect grammar. what a shame.

another disapointing error you made was the unfortunate attempt at making the comma possessive to kumar. your correction sentence should have been worded as follows:

Why did you fail to include a comma, kumar?

there, that's better.

i never realized that a scene kid's nightmare would be grammar or punctuation, though. i always thought it would be an early bed time, or a true metalhead in the pit.

oh, yeah...maturity, lol....going to blows over an opinion and then spending the majority of the argument not discussing that opinion, but rather attempting to make one feel intellectually inferior. that's mature.

personally, i despise dani filth. i hate his annoying voice and LOATHE the way he insulted bruce d***inson on cradle's "hallowed be thy name" cover.

Hi pursuit of vikings (*20) - a reminder - that's why i let you win the last time we exchanged a while back ;-) (no harm intended)........ Otherwise, not discrediting the talent of this band - the 'satanism' is old and i still find it hard that kids still buy into this stuff. It's not even cool or underground. I agree with Alice Cooper - If you want to be cool - If you want to be underground - If you want to be a rebel - THEN BE A CHRISTIAN ! (Romans 6:23, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Tim.2:5)

Haha. Daren Loster, you probably got me there. BUT, if we were were arguing, it was probably about something bigger than "don't trash bands I like, it hurts my feelings" and "oh, well your mom blew me". I don't really remember. I should have been more specific, arguing is just fine, as long as it doesn't come to that level of immaturity.

I still haven't bought the last record due to it's lack of heart. I've seen this band 3 times and different line ups each time, they do play a good show and last time they played only 2 songs from the new record. Dani knows Thornography failed to recapture it's audience and their old school symphonic black metal. Dani Filth also has the Axl Rose complex, if you should ever have a chance to meet the guy.

I'm not looking forward for a new Cradle of Filth album because Cradle of Filth died years ago.
