Unknown Fear Prepares To Record New CD
Gloucestershire, England based thrashers Unknown Fear are preparing to record their first CD under the bands new lineup. Frontman Ben Gryspeerdt has posted the following message on the bands Myspace:
"Plans are to record a 10 track album. This will feature the five tracks that were written for the first demo eg the songs on the music player on the main page. Not onl this but it will also include five new slabs of thrash/nwobhm full of energy and integrety. We will also be sending 4 of the new tracks out to record complanies and promoters and se if we have any joy from them.
"The new songs will see us take a new approach to songs as some of outr fans have experienced already at the gigs. Newer members have also helped to bring out different influences in the old members as well as bringing a diffrent edge to the music from the new blood. Having lost our main composer we have also gained a replacement writer and this means severe changes in style.
"What weve tried to do with the new songs is maintain the nwobhm sound that was heard on the last demo, incorporate the thrash element more promenently than before , as it has always been the element in the music that got people going at gigs, and last but not least, let the other influences that arnt thrash or nwonbhm pour into the music to do their magic. For example , From Hell a song we played at the gigs recently has element of thrash, nwobhm and a hint of black metal at the end.
"Also expect changes in the lyrical content area as we feel enough time has been spent writing about war. A new song of ours talks of the cockney ripper himself.
"A ten track album for 3 or 4 quid isnt bad huh so if anyone wants a cd leave come see any of us when it is done. All money gained by selling cd's will go into recording our next album. Keep thrashing keep it real, Peace and love, the freakish long haired vocal martyr and bass player, Ben."
The bands new lineup consists of
Ben Gryspeerdt- Vocals and Bass Guitar
Rob Frost- Drums and Percussion
Nyall Gunn- Guitars
Damo Taylor- Guitars
The bands former frontman Gareth Nash left the group a few months ago to become the new guitarist for Amenti, who are set to record their second album this year.
