Vegoose Festival Won't Return For 2008
Las Vegas festival Vegoose will not happen in 2008, according to Jonathan Mayers, president of Superfly Presents, which co-produces Vegoose with A.C. Productions. Mayers stops short of saying that Vegoose is permanently gone and says that it may resurface in a different form.
Vegoose debuted in 2005 as a Halloween season, multi-venue music festival, with headliners Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Beck and others performing at Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium. The first year grossed $4.6 million with more than 72,000 attendance, but revenues and attendance declined to just $2.2 million and 36,781 last year, according to Billboard Boxscore.
Last year's festival featured the recently reunited Rage Against The Machine as a headliner.
