Bullet For My Valentine Members Discuss Beef with Rob Zombie

Artisan News Service caught up with Welsh Metal core band, Bullet for My Valentine to get their thoughts on being kicked off Rob Zombie's tour. Bullet for My Valentine, whose latest album, "Scream Aim Fire" debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, were so unhappy on a United States tour opening for Rob Zombie that lead vocalist Matt Tuck posted comments on the bands message board about how they were being treated and why they felt disrespected. During the tour Tuck posted these comments about being an opening act.
"As for the merchandise, ZOMBIE makes us price match him so, yup, it's f**kin $40 for a t-shirt, which is insane, I know. Greedy money-grabbing fucks. We're only allowed two pieces of merch, too, which sucks ass. Unfortunately, being first on on a tour like this sucks, but it's gotta be done. As I write this, I'm sitting on the f**kin' floor of the venue 'coz we don't have a dressing room again, 'coz f**kin Zombie takes them all for him, his band and crew. Basically, we are s**t to him."
Once Rob Zombie's camp got wind of the posting the band was immediately kicked off the tour for expressing their views and opinions and standing up for their beliefs.
Artisan News caught up with the band to get their thoughts on the spat with Zombie and why the band still wants to thank him.
"Well we stand for what we...we stand up for ourselves really and I guess he didn't like what we said. Whatever. It don't bother us. We got dropped from the tour but we joined the Guns N Roses tour, so it kind of worked out well for us you know. Yeah, kind of. Cheers Rob!"
So does lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Tuck feel any ill will about the Zombie situation looking back at it in hindsight?
"No, I sleep soundly each night."
Bullet for My Valentine regrettably had to drop off the final five dates on the Taste of Chaos tour, with Atreyu and Avenged Sevenfold as bassist Jay James rushed back to the UK to be with his 2-year old daughter who had been hospitalized. Bullet's Matt, Padge and Moose played two abbreviated shows (San Jose/April 12 and Sacramento/April 13) with their guitar tech, Kevin Papworth, sitting in for Jay on bass, but the band was not comfortable with not being the best they can be. The band also asks that you keep Jay's daughter and her speedy recovery in your thoughts. Bullet for My Valentine will also be performing at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park and the Download Festival in June 2008 in Europe. The bands new single "Waking The Demon" hit U.S. radio airways April 7.

Well done for standing up for your views but in all seriousness... Guns and roses??? christ i'd hate to be on a tour with Axl Rose.. the most inconsiderate man in rock, and thats just to his fans. He's going to make Zombie look like a butler serving your needs by comparrison.
Anyways, your music still sucks.. End.
@broken face:
I stand corrected. He should spend less time straightening and dying is hair, and more time paying his dues.
@metalrox555:
Yeah, way to go, he sure is standing up for his fans. "I'd rather my fans not see me at all than be in the same room as expensive shirts!" Don't be dense. Nobody forced anybody to pay $40 for a shirt, so nobody got ripped off. How many fans paid more than $40 for a ticket to see the band, and now they can't? They're the people who got ripped off. He's raping his fans, then telling them how much he loves them. Did anybody tell him that Axl Rose isn't a good role model for frontmen?
This is retarded, if high priced merch and no dressing room was such a big deal then why didn't they fight the power like a normal person would and sell their merch for however much they wanted and demand a dressing room instead of being little b****es and whinning about it over myspace.
But I can kinds see why people would be p***ed over the merch. 40 bucks for some toilet paper is ridiculous.
yeah b4mv is my absolute favorite band. and yeah, they should have said something about the dressing room. $40 for any shirt is f***ing rediculous in my world, but nobody had 2 buy one. i don't really care what happened though, im only interested in knowing when their NEXT album is coming out. their music rocks but they're acting like b****es. they need to quit whining!
Obviously these kids don't know how long it takes in the music business to earn respect and get dressing rooms. You have to earn it and 1 album on the music charts isn't enough these days. It take hard work and blood, sweat and tears. My question is, why did they not know this when they signed up to the tour and if they weren't happy--go talk to Zombie in person. He doesn't seem like the unreasonable type. These guys were being big babies!
Whats interesting with this situation is that they feel like somehow they have been slighted. First of all, people are filling up the venues to see Zombie! He has one of the more elaborate stage shows in metal or music for that matter and basically has way more credibility as an artist. It is a privelage for these twenty something year old boys to land a gig of this magnitude so get over it. They are a flash in the pan. Ten years from now who will remember these overrated, whiny, self centered, crybaby brats and who will still be watching house of a 1000 corpses!!!!!!!!!!! Good move ROB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way I see it is BFMV are a lame band anyways, and nowadays all these myspace bands think they can get the Fall Out Boy treatment while on tour, and no matter what label is backing you, b****ing about a tour is the same as b****ing about the label that put you on tour. Good riddance. These fxcking bands are acting like they're the shxt when all they are is cookie-cutter trash. Maybe if BFMV had made a worthwhile contribution to music, Rob would have more respect for them, but Rob's been around, and he's been through tons of tours and with the headaches that come along with that, you not only find out the band you're touring with is talking sh** about you? While on YOUR tour? If I was Rob, I'd have had them kicked off, too. Being on the road is hard enough without your opening act whining all the time. Plus, I worship everything Rob Zombie does, and has ever done. So, fxck off, BFMV. You either play the gig and collect, or you go home. Whiny babies. Hopefully they'll lose their record deal now.
uh..i have no respect for bands who write songs called tears dont fall, and who's every song has a strumming supposadly "catchy" chorus that makes the scenecore fags cream their pants when they hear it. Bullet's f***ing garbage, they need to realize that they were not headlining that tour, when you are at the bottom of the trashcan you don't get the sh** the people at the top have.
i check out this site every day. i believe this site to be a great source of interest for all of my major general interests in music. but from what i can tell the most frequent visitors to this website seem to be the most narrow-minded, wide-mouthed, never-think-about-how-they-will-sound-before-they-speak opinionated infants... most of you are pathetic and lack any depth to the s}{it you say..grow up.
Well the way I see it is if you crack the american billboard chart top 10 your on to SOMTHING. So their young, So their inexperienced, but American culture has a way of weeding out Fads. If these guys are the real deal....only time will tell. I will agreee that they may have skrewd the pooch on this subject cause communication is key in any relationship and it seems they went about their business the wrong way when it came to the Zombie tour

If your implying that hey must have talent because they charted then your wrong. You don't need to be very talented to make it in the music world. Just look at bands like Fall Out Boy or Coldplay. They just appeal to what people like, suck as looks or what their singer looks like.
Kalis will agree here, everyone go listen to 4 Dead, proper music. http://www.myspace.com/thefourdead

Don't bite the hand that feeds, idiot. If you paid as much time paying your dues as whining on MySpace and working on your eyeliner, maybe you'd understand that it doesn't pay to disrespect the act that's taking you out on tour. Die.
