The Dillinger Escape Plan Does Ad And Video For peta2

The Dillinger Escape Plan has just come out with a new ad for peta2, the world's largest youth animal rights organization. In the ad, band members Ben, Liam, Greg, Gil, and Jeff appear with their equally stylish canine counterparts next to the tagline "Be an Angel for Animals." The band also gave peta2 an exclusive interview, where they gush over their companion animals, speak out against dogfighting, and discuss why it’s important to educate yourself on what it is you’re eating.

as usual you fa**ots try to attack successful people trying to do something with their lives while you guys are probably sitting on your asses in your mom's basement jerking off. plus, this has nothing to do with liking their music or not.

Yeah it seems more pro-kind pet owner and anti-dog fighting than anything else. Better fire up the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth these guys spell "Anarchy"....

One guitarist is a vegan. I don't see anyone chained to a tree, heh...much less the 10 commandments ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdqoIoxwTnY ) lol. I won't be filing this under extremism.

Meh. Hulk Hogan's anti dog fighting video was better.

I don't like the militant stance peta takes on things and I don't like being preached to but if they feel they wanna do this then who am I to complain? At least they're not on the scale of Bono!

I'm a chef and can't stand the vegis/vegans out there who discriminate against people that eat meat. F' em, for every animal they don't eat, I'll eat three. I just moved to Maui and in a lot of ads for housing and such, there is a disclaimer that says vegan household only and whatnot. How is that not discrimination in its purest form? I live with 2 vegans but they don't break my balls for eating a steak. Ya have canines and incisors for a reason people.

What I hate is people who say that the animals we eat or even make coats/clothing out of are going to go extinct, or die inhumanly (except maybe the chicken but I don't know bout that issue). If the demand for say burgers and leather is high do you really think that the industries of both those items are going to let the cow go extinct? Same goes with lamb, pig, hare, and any kind of bird. As far as inhumanly killing, I'm no butcher but I believe that you have to kill it quickly so it doesn't expect it coming or else the cow tightens the muscles in it's body making it useless, correct me if I am wrong.

Most animals nowadays are butchered and killed with electricity, its instant and relatively painless, not that a cow even has the mental capacity to understand any of it. Most animals used for meat are just a large bag of meat, most people dont understand the fact that cows have no personality or sense of whats going on. I grew up on a farm and I know how cows operate, they are incredibly stupid. Ive seen adult cows trample all over their young for no reason, ive seen baby cows who refuse to eat out of a bottle for no reason. I am totally against animal cruelty and dog fighting but meat is a necessary part of a healthy diet and its what humans have evolved to eat. So the vegetarians can take their 8 protein supplements, ill just eat a juicy burger.

Yeah if ya kill an animal and it sees it coming, its going to tighten up and you have to let it sit for up to a month before its gonna be any good.

Funny how everyones focus is on the one guy in the band who is a vegan....I guess it's easier to argue against that rather than trying to justify dog fighting.

I'm a stark raving carnivore but I respect those that don't eat meat. I wish I had that kind of conviction but I just don't. Beef and chicken are yummy, pork...not so much.

Still...I think Dillinger are one of the most pioneering and influential bands of the last 10 years.

Now Playing: Opeth - "Porcelain Heart".......Kinda has the dreary overtones of recent Katatonia and Porcupine Tree, Good stuff.

Humans are carnivores, by nature. It is how our ancestors survived, not by eating leaves or bushes.... I like chicken the most, however, beef is damn tasty too. It just seems like a fad, or something.
