Is there just some universal law that says Sepultura must always be the sh**? Cuz they keep doing it, all the time.

I agree F.A.N, that even without the Calvera bros they rock, but they do need some form of name change in my opinion.

^ya just to distance themselves from their old line-up/sound that the Cavalera's were a part of. But imo it's not a big deal, they're just pulling on their fame from their old days to draw the fans, they can keep the name for all i care, it does'nt seem like Max or Igor give a damn about it anyway.

Now Playing:Watain- "Sworn To The Dark"

BTW, Kalis, what songs would you reccomend by Watain? I noticed on your myspace a while ago that you liked them, and I just found em recently myself to be of my liking as well. Name like 5 songs that you think I should listen to if you can?

At least Sepultura is trying to distance itself from metalcore....thank goodness, Derick is not trying to do any cleaning singing/vocals...Sepultura continues to be a kicka$$ band. He has a clear strong aggressive voice. I enjoy their music, and think that this new one will be great.

F.A.N, "like" is a light way to put it when it comes to me and Watain. Any Watain is great really and "Sworn to the dark" is a fantastic album. I have asked Deathbringer if I can do an album review for it. We shall see what he says. Hopefully one day I will be so lucky as to interview the band to get to the fine details of what makes a band so crushing and yet up lifting.

I agree 100% with Txmetalhead. There are some qualities of Derrick Green that I think are far superior to Max Cavalera.

^thx Kalis, I actually downloaded that song right after I listened to it. Love it. whats the best song on the album in your opinion, so I can download the most important ones first? I'm just really in a heavy, black metal mood right now, so any help towards that would be appreciated.

Personally, I liked 'em better in their Max era. Green does a good job, but I really do think they should get a new name for the band. It's still a great band, but it's not at all the same band that it was in Max's day. Not that I necessarily think it should be, I just think they should change their name in respect to that.

Oh, and A Clockwork Orange is a ridiculously good movie. Haven't read the book, but I would love to. Kubrick is a brilliant director.

F.A.N, I think all Watain rocks, however if you want two great ones from STTHD, "Leigions of the black light" and "Satan's hunger" are my picks.
As far as Sep goes, I think that even without Max and Igor they are still good. A name change would not be a bad idea in my opinion. It just seems right.

Psythe, I'm actually reading the book right now. I haven't seen the movie, but in the author's note at the beginning, he says the book and movie's endings are completely different, because the movie is based on the original American version of the book, which had the last chapter cut out (which it had in every country but the US, publishers didn't like original version of the book, that changed later on). Wow... I promise I'm not a nerd ;)
