Bullet For My Valentine Cancel Remaining North American Tour Dates

According to Kerrang.com, Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE have cancelled the remaining shows on their current North American tour in order to fly home to support their bassist/backing vocalist Jason "Jay" James whose daughter has been hospitalized.

"Jay had a call [Friday] night about his little girl," BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck told BLABBERMOUTH.NET in an exclusive interview this past Saturday (April 12). "She's very, very ill — she's in the hospital. I'm not gonna go into too much detail 'cause that's obviously his personal stuff — but she's very ill and he had to fly home straight away, which obviously is the correct thing to do, and he wants to be there by her bedside and hopefully she's gonna pull through. He didn't have any choice — he had to go home — and that was totally fine with us."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE played an abbreviated set in San Jose on Saturday and Sacramento on Sunday with the band's guitar tech Kevin filling in for James.

Cancelled BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE shows:

April 15 - WaMu Center, Seattle, WA
April 17 - PNE, Vancouver, BC
April 19 - Stampede Corral, Calgary, AB
April 21 - Brand Center, Regina, SK
April 22 - Northlands AgriCom, Edmonton, AB

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will take a couple of weeks off before embarking on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in early May.

i think that he did the right thing and i hope his daughter gets better i saw them in concert right before this in Albany and they were great these city's are missing out on a hell of a lot of good music but they will get over it he did what any good father would do and put his kids before himself . i don't think by this people should be attacking them and finding flaws we all have flaws and so get over your selfs. bullet make good music now and will continue to make good music there is no doubt in my mind that they will do just fine after this. the fact that he went home instead of playing, show that they donut only care about them selfs and the people who think that are beyond help because you absolutely only think about your self and yes you are missing one good concert but u still can be courtis and deal with it.

I can admire their passion, but I think it could be directed in more constructive way. They could just simply state WHY they like B4MV, not just a "I will kick your a$$ because you said you dont like them!" I think on a technical level, lyrical level and asthetic level B4MV suck. If I was some love depraved teen girl between the ages of 12 to 16 they could speak to me. Had I not been raised around musicans that know their music and tought me what quality was would think they were great.
