Savage Blade Welcome New Vocalist and Post Saxon Cover Online
After a year-long search, Canadian power metal outfit Savage Blade are excited to announce the addition of lead vocalist Nikko Forsberg. Bringing an instantly memorable classic metal voice and commanding stage presence to the fold, this ex-Mormon wild child has proven to be the perfect fit for the true metal sound of Savage Blade.
The Blade is currently producing their debut album "We Are The Hammer" in Nelson BC, Canada, with the services of producer/engineer Andy Chute. Fueled by the NWOBHM and the classic power metal bands of the early eighties, Savage Blade pledge to Kill ’Em All For One. "We Are The Hammer" will be released in North America on indie label Black Banana Records, with European distribution to be handled by German-based Underground Power. In true 80's metal fashion, the band plans to release the album for retail on vinyl and cassette only, with online digital downloads available for free.
As a pre-album teaser, and in tribute to one of their biggest influences, the band has posted their cover version of the classic Saxon track, "Dallas 1PM," on their MySpace page.
