The highly anticipated new album from metal gods Judas Priest "Nostradamus" has finally been given a release date. The album will be released, both as a standard CD and a Deluxe version on June 13th in Europe. This will probably mean a June 14th release in the U.S.A.

The album contains 18 songs and clocks in at over an hour and a half according to guitarist K.K. Downing.

Hope they come South Fla. as headliners with anyone opening. Saw them Dec.9, 1982. Uriah Heep opened. They closed with Hell Bent For Leather and when Halford attempted to get off the Harley, something happened and the bike went over. Otherwise, they rocked the house. Ticket price was only $ 12.75. Another one of the good ole" days.

I bet having to pay upwards of 40 to 70 bucks and sometimes alot more was rough! Do you think that rhows have earned that kind of money now a days? Or do you think that shows in the 70s were worth their ticket price?

Kalis, to answer your question,if you like a band and have the resources, go see them. I had the chance to see Zeppelin in Tampa but didnt go. A year later John Bonham was dead and the rest is history. If I remember correctly the ticket price was about 10 bucks. Last year people paid thousands at the 02 arena in london. So if Priest tix are 50 to 100 bucks I would go because you never know.

Kalis, after exercising my remaining brain cells, I would have to say Sabbath, Maiden, Judas Priest, A/C D/C with Bon Scott, U.F.O. , Motorhead, Ozzy with Randy Rhodes, Alice in Chains--when Layne Staley was relativley healthy, and of course the original Deep Purple. I know alot of people my say W.T.F. but I saw The Kinks in 1980 and they rocked hard to my suprise. And I also must include outside of hard rock ,Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Another one I just flashed back to was Humble Pie opened for Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. And as of recent, a friend persuaded me to see Mastodon a little over a year ago, I have to admit I am not yet very up to date with todays metal , but they impressed me, especially their drummer.

I am glad of it and hope he continues to thrive long into the future. A.I.C would have been great to see live with Layne. I wont have anything to do with the current A.I.C.

did somone mention my name..? Hello to you, Miss Kalis_ ! how are things going with ya..?

BLACKDOG... how they hangin..? are ya ready for warmer weather yet..?
I had snow on the ground all day today.... DAMNIT.!!

agreeing with the other member with a gray beard.... when looking back on ALOT of concerts through the 80s.. Judas Priest ranks right up around the top.. I seen em on the Defenders of the Faith tour in 85? AMAZING...!!! that was even before Rob Halford came out... whether he's a pillow pincher or not... the guys sings his a$$ off..!!
If I remember right....the ticket price was right around $ 10-12.... forgive me, not only is my memory shot from decades of smokin herb... but check this out.. a psycho/alcoholic/deranged ex girlfriend I lived with back in the mid 90s.. stole my entire collection of ticket stubs..!!!
yeah that sucked..... and whats worse... before I knew she'd taken them...she had already boarded a plane for the west coast and was gone.... its a hate that'll never die....!!!

yeah, SRV was amazing...I had the chance to see him a couple times... the last time being his last show...in Alpine Valley,Wisconsin... thats about 4 hour drive from my home... I heard about his death on the way home..... bummer..!!

WOW...thanks for the hug Kalis_ .. uuhh.... rack of what...? ; )
good to hear everything is OK..!! guess I havent emailed recently..? oops.. !!

as for future concerts...?...Im thinkin my concert days are over.... unless Robert Plant finds a way down off of his pedastal and decides that Led Zeppelin fans made him the legend that he is...
IF that happens and IF they tour... then I might consider seeing something like that..
Im within 3 hours drive of the Twin cities and about 5 hours from Chicago... but with the price of gas...I dont know what would be more expensive...the cost of a Zeppelin show or the gas to drive that far...??
