Opeth fans (not unlike Slayer and Tool fans) are a loyal, giddy and vocal lot....I include myself in that sweeping generalization. Not a negative or worried post yet.
This one promises to be just as memorable as they all have been.
I'm excited to hear how Ax (and his wife adding vocals to "Coil") and Akesson influence this one. There are rumors that both Wiberg and Mendez will be more present since Lopez and Lindgren are out of the picture...A larger synth/keys and bass profile would be interesting.
Apparently this one will be quite heavy as well. Ackerfeldt is a touch bitter over the handful of fans who were put off by Ghost Reveries...
In all honesty GR is in my top 3 best next to Still Life and Blackwater....Just edging out Damnation and MAYH....And yes I adore Delverence, but something had to give.
June can not come soon enough.
