Contraband Candy Interviews Dimmu Borgir Guitarist, Silenoz
Band Photo: Dimmu Borgir (?)
Contraband Candy spent their Easter weekend in Oslo, Norway, freezing and interviewing a few bands that played this year's Inferno Festival. They also tracked down Dimmu Borgir axe man Silenoz to talk to us exclusively about their US tour with Behemoth and Keep of Kalessin, escaping to the woods and what it is really like being a rock star.
You can watch the interview online here or below (after the jump).
Contraband Candy are also working hard to finish their first ever Festival Special. They'll be releasing a short trailer very soon to start the ball rolling. The Inferno programme will include interviews with 1349, Behemoth, Den Saakaldte, Keep of kalessin, King (Gorgoroth, Sahg), Shining, Skitliv, and loads more interesting interviews and bits and pieces.

Lst77, I say this with love, but f*** you! I want to see them in Portland, but am afraid that I wont be able to due to a ton of other things going on. Atleast I got to catch Mesuggah and Ministry though, so I cant complain too much. I second Shoe poliece. ISD is a true masterpiece. In truth I cant say I have heard a Dimmu album I did not love.
Although quite controversial/I find this darkly band DIMMU BORGIR very fascinating & epic majestic: their on stage live performances are powerfully dramatic. The six fame Viking members in Dimmu Borgir are "seriously" awesome musicians: and I like their haunting/complex music sound. I really like this Contraband Candy interview on one of the Co-Founder/Leader member(s) Silenoz (the other being Shagrath) his very cordial in his speech & the watcher in the band/making sure everything goes well...'I like him/his a fascinating guitarist/Co-writter as well. I hope their headlineing Tour "The Invaluable Darkness Tour Pt 2" venture to the US 2008-is going successfully/securely well and that this hard working band DIMMU BORGIR finally got the chance to tour San Francisco (my home City by Bay) raiding the Cable car's/seeing the sights in all etc.,. (for last visit it was quite impossible for them to do due to their busy schedule/the Metal Hammer Sept. 2007 treasure exclusive on them so mentioned,,,'so I hope that they caught the chance this time around) this past Monday/April 14 when performing live at the Warfield: along with the fame energizer Behemoth & their fellow countrymen Keep of Kelessin. Thanks for posting this insightful & indepth interview w/Silenoz of the fame Dimmu Borgir by journalist Rene'. And very much looking forward to the other Contraband Candy Interviews so mentioned above: with 1349, Behemoth, King (Gorgoroth/Sahg) & Skitliv (the legendary Maniac), etc.,. a host of brilliant music talents that thunder down the music venues at the famous Inferno 2008 music fest this past month/March, I believe. I'll be watching out for it...'can't wait! Cheers & once again, thanks for the down to Earth interview w/Dimmu Borgir's watcher/guitarist Silenoz, his a really cool & amazing person. Peace!

Dimmu Borgir is true talent working. In Sorte Diaboli was such a solid record, I am anticipating their next with much excitement.
