I would love to see these guys except for DEP, but I am seeing BTBAM at ProgNation, and Meshuggah comes to the states all the time, so I will pass on this. The U.S. tour to go to this year is AT THE GATES, DARKEST HOUR, and MUNICIPAL WASTE.

How can more people like BTBAM then DEP? We live in a f***ed up world and it depresses me.

Because DEP is random noises/sweeps/melodies thrown together and called music while BTBAM are actually constructing logical, musical progressions with artful nuances scattered throughout to keep interest? Colors is a masterpiece.

You know, I've heard a lot of people say that, and I've made a few DEP charts for Guitar Hero, and it's not really all that random. I'll check out this Colors thing you speak of, but I'm really dying to find out how this band can be better than DEP in any aspect. DEP may be a little more abrasive, but there's something in their music that presses emotional buttons that no other style of music has. For me, at least.

Is Colors an album or a song?

And for the record I'm not saying DEP aren't skilled musicians. BTBAM use sweeps and chaotic elements too. I mean it's fvcking metal. I just think they structure it better. DEP loses my attention after awhle. Just my personal preferrence.

I love both those bands, today in my car I was listening to the Album Colors (BTBAM) and I agree that it is a masterpiece, nonetheless, DEP are pure geniuses also. The way DEP are building their song is not random chaos, it's just different. Maybe BTBAM do sound a little bit less chaotic but to a trained ear DEP do make sense and once you get it there is a lot to like about it. So both bands are great bands.

Now to texlonghorn10, crawford never said that he judge good music by guitar hero standards but that when he transcribed them to the game it was not as random as you would think it is. Now you told one of my friends that he is a f***ing idiot and that's pretty lame, especially when the guy is showing interests in another band. So in my book I dislike you a lot and right back at you lowlife.

I find DEP to be a fallen version of BTBAM; their original few disks were good and I enjoyed the music from them. But their latest have not impressed me and their use of a Darkside style album cover offends me a bit as a Pink Floyd fan. If any metal band could use a Floyd style album cover it would be BTBAM. Colors is such an epic progressive piece of metal.
