AC/DC Planning Farewell Tour?
XM's Boneyard/VH1 Classic host Eddie Trunk revealed a rumor on his "Friday Night Rocks" radio show on New York's Q104.3 FM earlier tonight (Friday, March 28) that Australian hard rock legends AC/DC will embark on a "farewell" tour later in the year once the recording sessions for their new album have been completed.
AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams told Spinner.com last month that AC/DC would enter the studio March 1 to begin recording its first new album in eight years. The web site caught up with Williams at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in Los Angeles, where he said, "God I'm ready."
As for touring, however, Williams was less sure about the group's intentions. He explained, "If we go out again or when we go out again, you just never know. We've been around a long time, so we're going to get together and get in the studio and I fully expect we will (tour). I don't mean to be so negative about that."
The band itself is now international, with members scattered across the globe. Malcolm and Angus Young divide their time between Britain and Australia (with Angus also spending time in the Netherlands because he has a Dutch wife). Singer Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams are based in the U.S., while drummer Phil Rudd lives in New Zealand.
Reports surfaced in January that AC/DC was nearly finished recording its next album, but a spokesperson for the band's Australian label, Albert Records, denied the story.
AC/DC's last all-new set, "Stiff Upper Lip", came out in 2000.

Well what goes up must at some point come down I suppose. It does not mean that they wont ever reunite. Atleast there is some heads up and they are giving us plenty of time to see them one last time and a chance for those who havent seen them live a chance to do so. They will be missed.
Yeah man, but what got me into metal was actually Master of Reality from Black Sabbath. I swear the first song I heard was sweet leaf and how I felt inside is indescribable. It's like I woke up from a deep sleep and found the most amazing thing ever. It was just a once in a lifetime experience...gosh that was great !! And then Metal became my passion.
Who really cares ? AC / DC ceased to exist 8 years ago with Stiff Upper Lip an ok album at best . The last great album from them was Back in Black in 1980 . I loved them , first band I ever saw live on Highway to Hell tour . But now they do nothing for the fans , no news , no new releases , or albums of rarities or b sides . Sitting on their millions . Give me a hard working band like Motorhead any day
Who cares what they call it. Great blues based music. Great fun show. Took my nine year old daughter. She loved it. Can you play an ax like that without spinning on the floor or duck walking. Still copying Angus' licks. Been playin' 36 yrs. See you in the next world...Don't be late!!
hopefully!it's not the farewell tour, the first time i heard AC/DC I was 5 years old.People would thing that i was only gonna like them 4 a while but look at me i'm 16 and i'm addicted 2 AC/DC the bad thing is that i never seen them play up close! i been saving ever since i was 6 to see them all the way up front & backstage pass 2 ! I NEED A TOUR DATE AC/DC!!!Call it obsession, love or just being a fan AC/DC shouldn't have a farewell tour they should rock ti'll the end and another thing 4 me it was Jailbreak and High Voltage that got me into the metal world....metal or not they r "THE BEST BAND EVER" 'HAIL AC/DC' P.S I LOVE U ANGUS! UR #1 FAN FERNANDA MCKINNON YOUNG1
1978 at the Miami Baseball Stadium, I think it was the Powerage tour. It was the first and only time I saw them with Bon Scott. They blasted through maybe 8 or 10 songs and I never forgot it. BTW , I was just told about this site and its pretty cool even though I"m not familiar with alot of the new metal. Keep up the good work.
don't laugh... my gateway band was...blink 182. yes. I grew up living with my grandparents, so all I ever heard was Country music(shudder) and Soap Operas(double-shudder), ah...so deprived a child i must have been...anyway, so somehow i ended up loving Meshuggah? What a strange journey this has been....
Now Playing: Behemoth- "Demigod"
^ "God bless alcohol"
-truer words were never spoken.
-what I meant with blink 182 was that i didn't care for music much at all till i heard them; then it was a quick hop over to Metal, so i really have to thank them for everything. Seriously, if my band wins a Grammy or whatever someday, I am still gonna give shout-out to those f***ers during the acceptance speech, even if they're f***in dead by then. lol
Now Playing- Testament- "Hammer of the Gods"
and screw you Kalis, you hurt my feelings lol just kidding
If AC/DC splits up, I don't know how I will handle it. I have been a fan since the 70s. Baby Please Don't Go!!!!
Oh and any fans of AC/DC who don't have POWERAGE really need to get it. Its the best DC album, hands down. Every track rocks hard and Bon Scott's voice is clearer and better than on any other recordings.
Cheers and Let There Be Rock.
LiveWire from Canada
damnit godlike! I was gonna use that one next lol.
If she does have balls, I hope he does'nt Touch Too Much!
(I'm running out of song titles, I'm gonna have to start looking them up online if we keep this up!)
Now Playing: Ted Maul- "Look into My Eyes Before I Kill You"
What if she asks him to "Get it Hot"...? Well I suppose, after he got done "Beatin round the Bush" he would have to say "Let me put my love into you" and her reply would be,can I "Cover you in oil"...and the next thing you know he would be "Deep in the Hole" "Given the Dog a Bone"..!!
Still, evn if she does'nt have "The Jack", it'll still end up bad. She'll warn him to keep his "Spell" Bound, and he would most likely reply with "that Ain't No Fun!" (He's always Breakin The Rules) She keeps insisting, but then he shows her his "Heatseeker", and now all she wants to do is put it "Deep In The Hold"!
A month later, Angus is on the verge of a "Meltdown", cuz now he has to buy a "Rocker" for the "Problem Child" he made with his "Shot of Love"!
Whew! That one took some thinking!
Now Playing: Pig Destroyer- "The Machette Twins"
yes indeed.... coming up with appropriate song titles to tell a story, can cause a "Nervous Shakedown" or perhaps even a "Brainshake"..!!!
But if it is true..... after a "Whiskey on the Rocks" maybe the whore with "The Jack" will get "Kicked in the Teeth" and he will become a "Nightprowler" with "Guns For Hire"

It will be a sad day if they do. "Back In Black" is what got me into Metal
