DIECAST BLUDGEON THE MASSES

Band Reigns As One Of The Leading Acts On Two Back To Back Metal Fests

After shredding the air waves and print/web media alike with the gripping sounds of their Day Of Reckoning full length out now on Now or Never Records DIECAST have again wooed the masses with two ultra stirring performances at this year's New Jersey Metal Fest (April 6th and 7th) and the New England Metal & Hardcore Fest (April 13th and 14th).

Triumphant in spawning near riotous pits during both performances, DIECAST proved true crowd pleasures. Churning tunes from their latest release as well as their previous Undo The Wicked endeavor (another disc worthy of worship), the metal-core five piece navigated the stage with their ultra-adrenalized stage presence, punishing breakdowns and numbing conviction. Tunes like "Signaled Out" (their radio single) and "Exacting My Revenge" proved worthy of blood shed while their closing tune, a cover of Slayer'™s "Reign In Blood", instigated an entire venue of metal and hardcore fans to pummel each other with mosh-induced delight.

"We were tremendously pleased with how the crowd reacted to our set at this years NJ Meltdown. We had no idea what to expect and when we saw kids getting into it as much as they did," explained vocalist Colin Schleifer, "It really made us feel like our album was getting out there and that we had done a good job on it. We cant wait to play it again next year if we are allowed the opportunity, and thanks to everyone out there in NJ and Philly and the surrounding areas who came out to support us we appreciate it more than any of you will ever know."

Day Of Reckoning contains 10 tracks of riveting eardrum blowing hardcore goodness. DIECAST erupted onto the scene in early 1997 and quickly established a name for themselves in the Boston hardcore scene. With their unique brand of aggressive riffing, signature breakdowns and vocal hooks DIECAST knew they had the workings of a true powerhouse. Shortly after their formation they recorded the Perpetual War demo, and then the critically acclaimed Undo The Wicked 6 song CD EP. After a scorching performance at last years New England Metal Fest, Syracuse, Hellfest, a month long tour supporting One King Down as well as gigs with All Out War, Dying Fetus, God Forbid and more. The band is set to embark on several dates with Napalm Death and Isis. Stay tuned for tour dates.
