The following is a message from Black Stone Cherry posted via their official Myspace account:

"Hello fine friends out there!!
It's been a while since we've posted on here, as we've been so busy in pre-production for our 2nd album! We locked ourselves in our practice house in Kentucky and didn't come out until we had the songs we thought you ALL would love! And let us tell ya..you're gonna love 'em!!
Starting this Monday, we'll be at the beautiful Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN recording our 2nd album with ourselves, Richard Young, and Bob Marlette producing it! We're so excited and can't wait to for you to hear some new music..as well as to release a brand new album hopefully later in the summer this year!! So keep your eyes open and your ears alert for news and video clips we'll be uploading straight from Blackbird Studio! We want YOU to feel just as much a part of this album as anyone..since you are the most important in the whole scheme of things!!
So get ready for up to the minute updates from us and let us say..it's gonna be good to be back after a while!
Much love to you all!!
BLACK STONE CHERRY"
