The Psyke Project Signs To Lifeforce Records
Lifeforce Records and Lifeforce Records America have announced the addition of Danish metal act THE PSYKE PROJECT to their roster. Their Lifeforce debut "Apnea", which will be released June 30th within Europe and July 8th in North America, was produced by Tue Madsen (Himsa, Raunchy, Mnemic, Aborted, August Burns Red) and demonstrates an overwhelming connection to extreme music and is the epitome of the ever expanding and evolving musical outlook for Lifeforce Records.
"Apnea" is nominated as best Danish hardrock album for the this year Danish Music Awards to be held on Saturday, February 23rd. You can check out the DMA Myspace profile here.
Rasmus Sejersen of The Psyke Project comments: "We are very pleased to announce that we have signed a world wide record deal with the well respected and ground-breaking metal label Lifeforce (Germany/US). We've been listening to Lifeforce artists since we were kids so we are happy to be a part of the family."
Formed in 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark, THE PSYKE PROJECT has been nominated for four Danish Metal Awards in 2005 (best: album, live act, debut album, web site) as well as having accolades bestowed upon them for previous records by the likes of Terrorizer, Metal Hammer, Rocksound and Kerrang to name a few. Their main motivation for playing this type of music emerges from a profound love for the dark and brutal sound of hardcore and the sincerity and honesty in the statements made by most bands from this scene. THE PSYKE PROJECT seeks to create an intense chaotic sound mixed with heavy riffs and beautiful epic passages.
