Taken Announce March Canadian Reunion Shows

After breaking up in late 2004, the melodic hardcore band TAKEN has confirmed some reunion shows in March of 2008 in celebration of the release of a B-sides collection through Goodfellow Records.

"This Is Forever: A Taken B-Sides Collection" will see a domestic release via Goodfellow on March 25 while Falling Leaves Records will release the collection in Japan. This release features the band's original 1998 demo, their seven-inch and various unreleased and live material.

"It is strange after a few years that while TAKEN was a very small blip on most people's musical radars, the interest still remained for the band," says vocalist Ray Harkins. "The passion that people have shown me and the rest of the band is something that we could have never imagined."

Adds guitarist Chad Tafolla: "We are beyond excited to reunite for a show in Southern California and even a few in Japan and Canada. It's been quite a while since our last show and it will be good times to all get back together to play some music. Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and familiar faces."

The band plans on playing a one-time reunion at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California on March 8. Immediately following, the band is traveling to Japan for a reunion tour with EVYLOCK from March 13 to March 18.

At the end of the month, the band will make one final visit to Canada to play a pair of shows in Hamilton, Ontario, the city which is home to Goodfellow Records.
