Reverend Announce New Bassist
REVEREND has announced the addition of bassist Mike Falletta to the group's ranks. Falletta joins the band as the replacement for Brendon Kyle, who has enlisted in the United States Air Force and will be leaving to bootcamp this month.
Commented guitarist Davey Lee: "Being that we knew Brendon would be leaving soon, we set out to find the best possible match that would do our music justice. We happened to see him perform at a club, and when we pursued his talents he was just as excited to join with us as we were to have him in the band."
"Mike moved to Texas from New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina devastated his world where he lost everything and had no choice but to start a new life somewhere else."
"Mike is a very fast learner and is extremely talented he fits right in"

REVEREND is still working on its new CD, which was recorded at Blue Cat Studios with Grammy Award-wining producer Joe Trevino. The album, tentatively titled "Crossing Over", will include the last lyrics penned by late REVEREND/METAL CHURCH singer David Wayne, titled "With This Needle I Thee Wed". "This song will no doubt be a controversial song, but is aimed at the addictions of life, and how it changes people forever," the band previously explained in a press release.
Songtitles set to appear on the album include (in no particular order):
01. In the End
04. Darkened Horizon
05. Ships of Illusion
07. With This Needle I Thee Wed
08. Universal Metal
09. River of Hate (Styx)
10. Unconscious Suicide
The upcoming CD will be the group's first with new frontman Michael Lance (ex-ANCIENT CROSS), who replaced David Wayne in 2006.
Wayne died on May 10, 2005 due to complications from injuries he sustained in a head-on automobile accident several months earlier. He was 47 years old.
