Alice Cooper Announces Melbourne Shows
ALICE COOPER is headed to New Zealand for a Rock Festival featuring fellow rockers KISS and OZZY OSBOURNE and is stopping over in Melbourne for two very special exclusive performances – his only in Australia for 2008 following his sell out national tour in July 2007.
The Palms at Crown is a very intimate theatre and provides fans an unprecedented opportunity to get up close to their idol. The limited capacity means that these shows will sell out in record time. There is no possibility of additional shows once the two concerts are sold out.
The timeless rocker whose hits include 'School's Out', 'Poison', 'Department Of Youth' and 'Only Women Bleed' is currently recording a new album.
His theatrical shows have become legendary and his influence on three generations of rock bands is his legacy. Alice broke through with his first bona fide hit I'm Eighteen in 1971. Alice Cooper has released 28 albums which have sold over 50 million copies world-wide.
His most recent album was Dirty Diamonds released in 2005 and he is currently recording a new album scheduled for release later in 2008. Cooper has also just released his autobiography, Golf Monster – A Rock and Roller's Twelve Steps to Becoming a Golf Addict which chronicles his incredible career and battle with alcoholism (which he successfully beat in 1985) and passion for the game of golf.
Alice Cooper has always defied convention. The triumphs and tribulations heard on Alice Cooper's albums continue to thrill millions all over the world to this day, with his name and image remaining an inextricable part of our language and culture, as familiar as they are enduring.
Tickets go on sale February 11 through Ticketek Ph 1300 795 012. An internet pre-sale will commence on February 7 for My Ticketek Members.

trust me, i feel your pain. i was just yelling about this very type of thing on another thread a few days ago. Even when major tours that started in Eu or Au come to the states, they usually drop half the lineup and get new bands on the lineup that nobody actually interested in the original tour gives a sh** about. (i.e Gigantour, The black Tyranny). f***en Wacken. Ozzfest just does not satisfy my bloodlust in the least anymore. I NEED Wacken!!!!!!
