Domain Laying Down Bass Tracks For New Album

German melodic metallers DOMAIN are currently in the studio recording their ninth album, entitled "The Chronicles of Love, Hate and Sorrow". According to the band, the CD will be a concept album along the lines of the "Last Days of Utopia" LP, but this time it will be arranged and conceived as a "metal opera."

Last week, DOMAIN's Steven Wussow entered Meadow Studios to lay down the bass tracks for the group's upcoming CD under the watchful eye of producer and guitarist Axel Ritt.

Vocalist Nick Ruhnow created a 12-chapter unfolding drama based on the legendary epistolary novel "Die Leiden Des Jungen Werther" by the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The opus will be performed by guitarist Axel Ritt, keyboardist Erdmann Lange, bassist Steven Wussow and Ruhnow himself, enriched with hard and anthem metal, epic heavy rock and ballad elements.

Released for the first time in 1774, the story "Die Leiden Des Jungen Werther" became a key work in German literature during the "Storm And Stress" period and describes an impossible love against all moral concepts, which provokes extreme emotional reactions up to the point of a spate of suicides among young readers of the novel.

"The Chronicles of Love, Hate and Sorrow" will be released in the fall.
